Official Trailer for Farm Comedy ‘Loathe Thy Neighbor’ w/ Lauren Holly
"I don't want to be your friend, you old trout!" New Mountain Films has unveiled an official trailer for an indie comedy film titled Loathe Thy Neighbor, formerly known as Yuppie. This Canadian dark comedy is directed by Sergio Navarretta, and will be out later this summer. When a neurotic city transplant inherits his late father's rural farm, he must survive his unhinged neighbor's psychological warfare while discovering that sometimes your worst enemy might just save your life. He gets caught up in a standoff with his cranky neighbour, played by Lauren Holly in a role that's deliciously deadpan and totally unhinged. Described as a "twisted rural comedy about finding your roots and discovering that the person driving you crazy might be exactly what you need to finally grow up." With Lauren Holly & Brennan Clost, with Shaun Benson, Brittany Raymond, Paloma Nuñez, Jessica Greco, & Luke Humphrey. Looks like zany, absurd fun. Here's the official trailer (+ poster) for Sergio Navarretta's film Loathe Thy Neighbor, from YouTube: Will Larkfield (Brennan Clost), a neurotic city guy with countless allergies, inherits his late father's rural farmhouse and meets his nightmare neighbor Wanda Bellerose (Lauren Holly) - a volatile honey farmer who […]

Canadian Indie Dramedy ‘Guitar Lessons’ Trailer Featuring Corb Lund
"I'm not exactly a straight arrow..." Freestyle Digital Media has revealed the first official trailer for Guitar Lessons, an indie dramedy from Canada created by filmmaker Aaron James. Even though this originally opened in Canada back in 2022, it has never been given a proper US release until now - if anyone wants to catch up with it. Freestyle will be putting it on VOD this summer. In the film, a 15-year-old Metis boy and a cantankerous oilfield contractor learn to grow up together over guitar lessons. A coming-of-age story along with a tale about music bringing us together. Starring Corb Lund, Kaden Noskiye, Conway Kootenay, Lianna Makuch, and Roseanne Supernault. Guitar Lessons is a heartfelt comedy-drama about unlikely mentorship, reconciliation, and the transformative power of music. This looks quite sweet and amusing, as any good indie film should. The friend cracking all the lewd jokes is hilarious – he's the best part about this. Here's the official trailer (+ poster) for Aaron James' film Guitar Lessons, direct from YouTube: Leland Parenteau (Kaden Noskiye), a 15-year-old Métis boy in northern Canada, inherits a guitar from the father he never knew. When he approaches Ray (Corb Lund) — a gruff, retired rock […]

Doc ‘Beyond the Gaze: Jule Campbell’s Swimsuit Issue’ Official Trailer
"She never really got the credit that she deserved." Red Barn Productions has debuted an official trailer for a documentary film titled Beyond the Gaze: Jule Campbell's Swimsuit Issue, opening this month. This premiered at the 2024 Montclair Film Festival last year, and it also played at the 2025 Santa Barbara Film Festival earlier this year. The film tells the story of Jule Campbell and her 32-year reign as editor of Sports Illustrated's Swimsuit Issue, turning it into a media empire. Exploring changing beauty standards, feminism's evolution, and interviews with Jule and supermodels she championed. The first Swimsuit Issue was published in 1964, with Jule handling the inital shoot with model Babette March. Through glimpses into her past, viewers gain a deep understanding of Campbell’s pioneering spirit, unwavering commitment to protecting the models she worked with, and her ability to balance the celebration of female beauty with ethical considerations. The doc also features appearances from Kim Alexis, Carol Alt, Tyra Banks, Christie Brinkley, Jule Campbell, MJ Day, Kathy Ireland, Elle Macpherson, Paulina Porizkova, Roshumba Williams, Stacey Williams, Cheryl Tiegs, and Walter Iooss. Cody Lightning’s ‘Hey Viktor!’ Meta Filmmaking Indie Comedy Trailer
"I keep risking everything, and I end up with nothing..." Monument Releasing has debuted a new trailer for the film Hey Viktor!, a meta comedy about filmmaking made by Cody Lightning. This premiered a few years ago at the 2023 Tribeca Film Festival, and already opened up in Canada last year, finally getting a US release this year. This is kinda like a Kevin Smith movie but made by Natives. 25 long years after his time in the limelight, former child actor Cody Lightning tries to revive his life with a self-produced sequel to Smoke Signals (1998). Cody Lightning played Little Viktor in 1998's Sundance hit Smoke Signals, and this is a comedy about him also trying to figure out what his life means after that. He's forced to move home to his reserve in northern Alberta. When he learns his wife and kids are leaving him for a younger, more successful actor, he decides it’s time to make his masterpiece — writing, directing, & starring in Smoke Signals 2: Still Smoking, but with a documentary crew following his every misguided step. Also featuring Hannah Cheesman, Simon Baker, Adam Beach, Gary Farmer, Irene Bedard, and Colin Mochrie. Well this looks […]

Remember This in 2009? ‘Trainwreck: Balloon Boy’ Netflix Doc Trailer
"What if my stupid experiment kills my son?" Who remembers this story? Of course we all do... How could anyone forget?! Netflix has revealed an official trailer for the doc Trainwreck: Balloon Boy, the next in their Trainwreck series of unforgettable moments from history. A homemade flying saucer lifts off, and a 6-year-old boy might be inside. National panic ensues when the media begins to cover it non-stop — but what truly happened? This documentary investigates the real story of the Heene Family. It is made by filmmaker Gillian Pachter and delves into this breaking news story in October 2009. A dad claims his son is trapped in a runaway helium balloon - a "flying saucer" from his backyard. News helicopters follow the chase live once they spot the silver UFO. However, the balloon lands safely and there's no one inside, sparking outrage at the family as the story becomes one of America's most infamous hoaxes. The boy was just hiding in the attic all along. It makes me sad they had go to through this – especially when everyone really was safe and sound. Here's the official trailer (+ poster) for Gillian Pachter's doc Trainwreck: Balloon Boy, from YouTube: […]

Destry Allyn Spielberg’s Film ‘Please Don’t Feed The Children’ Trailer
"She's up to something... I want to find out what it is!" Go right ahead. Tubi has revealed an official trailer for the indie horror film titled Please Don't Feed The Children, which will debut streaming directly (for free!) next week on Tubi. The film premiered at last year's Sitges Film Festival, but it's not very good, so it's being dumped on Tubi instead of anything else. It marks the feature directorial debut of filmmaker Destry Allyn Spielberg, who is one of Steven Spielberg's six children, though he was not involved in this in any way (not even as a producer). After a deadly viral outbreak, a group of orphans flees in search of a new life, only to be taken hostage by a woman hiding a sinister secret. Michelle Dockery stars as the psychotic woman who lets these kids into her home only to turn on them... The full cast includes Giancarlo Esposito, Zoe Coletti, Andrew Liner, Dean Scott Vazquez, Regan Aliyah, Emma Meisel, Joshuah Melnick, and Vernon Davis. I was actually at the world premiere of this in Sitges last year, though it's a huge let down – an instantly forgettable "meh" post-apocalyptic horror film. Hopefully she makes […]

First Look Featurette for Ari Aster’s ‘Eddington’ with Joaquin Phoenix
"Every character is living in a different reality. And they all distrust each other completely." A24 debuted a making of featurette promo for Ari Aster's Eddington, set to crash into theaters this July. This recently premiered at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival to mixed reviews - some love it, some hate it, most were right in the middle. Written & directed by Aster, with Joaquin Phoenix, Pedro Pascal, Luke Grimes, Deirdre O'Connell, Micheal Ward, Amélie Hoeferle, Clifton Collins Jr., William Belleau, plus Austin Butler & Emma Stone. The only short synopsis: In May of 2020, a standoff between a small-town sheriff and mayor sparks a powder keg as neighbor is pitted against neighbor in the small town of Eddington, NM. This is sort of a pandemic movie but it's also more about how the Covid-19 pandemic broke the minds of many Americans, showing the downfall of many people in this one tiny town. Led by the Sheriff who goes crazy while in a feud with the local Mayor. This video spends time with the cast discussing how much they love working with Ari Aster and how sharp this script is - acting as a modern western commenting on small town […]

Steve Buscemi Gives Us a Tour of Nevermore in ‘Wednesday’ Promo
"So what are you waiting for? Seize your chance to join the new Nevermore! Because Nevermore is never better!" Netflix has debuted a fun promo trailer for Season 2 of the hit series Wednesday featuring a tour of the "new" NeverMore Academy. This video introduces us to Steve Buscemi as Barry Dort, the new principal of NeverMore. The first season launched in 2022 and became a major hit. In this second season, Wednesday Addams returns to Nevermore Academy. She "must navigate family, friends and old adversaries, propelling her into another year of delightfully dark and kooky mayhem. Armed with her signature razor-sharp wit and deadpan charm, Wednesday is also plunged into a new bone-chilling supernatural mystery." Creator / showrunners Alfred Gough & Miles Millar return for the spine-tingling second season, alongside exec producer & director Tim Burton. Jenna Ortega stars again, joined by Steve Buscemi, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Emma Myers, Joy Sunday, Luis Guzmán, Hunter Doohan, Billie Piper, & Moosa Mostafa. Plus guest stars: Jamie McShane, Joanna Lumley, Joonas Suatamo, Fred Armisen, Christopher Lloyd, Thandiwe Newton. I'm just happy seeing Buscemi embrace his kookiness again with this role. Enjoy. Here's the Barry Dort promo video for Netflix's series Wednesday - Season […]

Jake McLaughlin Stars in Time Distortion Sci-Fi Thriller ‘Site’ Trailer
"You saw it? Just tell me you saw it!" Blue Fox Entertainment has revealed the official trailer for an indie sci-fi thriller titled Site, ready for release starting in August this summer including on VOD right away. The latest film written and directed by indie filmmaker Jason Eric Perlman. After a terrifying encounter at an abandoned black ops government test site, a small town family man begins seeing haunting visions of a past that threatens to destroy his present. This sci-fi thriller involves some sort of time travel / time disruptor machine from the military that seems to go haywire, pulling this guy into its overlapping timelines. He gets some kind of "sight" into the past, it seems? Featuring an impressive cast with Jake McLaughlin, Arielle Kebbel, Theo Rossi, Miki Ishikawa, Clyde Kusatsu, Neagheen Homaifar, and Yoson An. Well, I'll be damned! This doesn't look that bad - check out the trailer. Ambitious, intriguing, with a complex concept involving many narratives interlinked with this guy at the center. What does it all mean? How to decipher? Here's the official trailer (+ poster) for Jason Eric Perlman's sci-fi thriller Site, direct from YouTube: While inspecting an abandoned military site, Neil Bardo […]

Another true crime series, this is a fictional version of the story of American Amanda Knox who was imprisoned for murder in Italy. Everyone knows her story as it was big in the media for many years - after being acquitted, Knox also wrote a memoir titled "Waiting to Be Heard" then Netflix released a doc about her called simply Amanda Knox. "Inspired by the story of how Amanda Knox was wrongfully convicted for the tragic murder of her roommate, Meredith Kercher, and her 16-year odyssey to set herself free." One More Trailer for ‘Marley’ Doc – Bob’s 80th Birthday Re-Release
"My richness is life." Regal Cinemas and Blue Fox Ent. have debuted another official trailer to celebrate the 2025 re-release of this iconic documentary titled Marley about the Jamaican reggae maestro Bob Marley. Made by director Kevin Macdonald, the director originally opened in 2012 and earned a BAFTA nomination. It was also re-released in 2020 to celebrate Bob's 75th birthday (we also posted a trailer then), but this was right during the middle of the pandemic summer. Now it's out for another round again - playing in theaters nationwide in 2025 in honor of what would have been Bob Marley's 80th birthday. Featuring rare footage, never-before-seen performances, and interviews with Marley’s family, friends, and collaborators, Marley offers an intimate and comprehensive look at the man behind the music. The film explores his journey from humble beginnings on the island of Jamaica to becoming one of the most influential musicians of all time, spreading messages of love, unity, peace, and resistance that continue to resonate worldwide today. Lily Sullivan Stars in Cannibal Western Thriller ‘Forgive Us All’ Trailer
"If I can save you from doing what I had to... I'm going into that forest with you." Samuel Goldwyn Films has revealed an official trailer for the Kiwi neo-western thriller titled Forgive Us All, directed by Jordana Stott making her feature directorial debut. Made down in New Zealand, the new film is a post-apocalyptic survival tale involving cannibals, of course, because as they always do. Another bland direct-to-video movie to skip right over. A virus has made humans into violent cannibals known as Howlers. A woman sheltering in a mountain cabin must decide whether to help when a stranger on-the-run from the totalitarian G.M.A. organization arrives on her doorstep. The only escape from them is through the cannibal infested forest... Will they make it out alive? Starring Lily Sullivan, Callan Mulvey, Richard Roxburgh, Lance Giles, Bree Peters, Lawrence Makoare, Dean O'Gorman. Unfortunately this looks over-stylized & especially generic, a derivative cannibal concept mixed up with western tropes. Move along, nothing much to see here. Here's the official trailer (+ poster) for Jordana Stott's western thriller Forgive Us All, from YouTube: This is the story of "redemption in a world gone dark." This post-apocalyptic New Zealand neo-western thriller imagines a […]

Second Trailer for ‘I Know What You Did Last Summer’ 2025 Horror
"Outside of us, no one knows what happened... Right?" Sony Pictures has debuted a second official trailer for 2025 horror reboot I Know What You Did Last Summer, more of a horror remake / legacy sequel bringing back the original cast from the classic 90s horror movie again. The first I Know What You Did Last Summer opened in 1997 and was a huge hit in the 90s, resulting in two sequels: I Still Know What You Did Last Summer (the next year in 1998) and I'll Always Know What You Did Last Summer (a direct-to-video sequel in 2006). This next one connects back to the Southport, North Carolina accident from the first movie. A group of friends are terrorized by a stalker who knows about a gruesome incident from their past. Starring Madelyn Cline, Chase Sui Wonders, Jonah Hauer-King, Tyriq Withers (also in Him), Sarah Pidgeon, Billy Campbell, Gabbriette Bechtel, Austin Nichols, Lola Tung, Nicholas Alexander Chavez, with Freddie Prinze Jr., and Jennifer Love Hewitt (as Ray & Julie from the original movies). Very similar to the first trailer, with a few extra shots added in. I'm still not convinced this will be any good. Trailer #2 for Jennifer […]
