“Bad people do bad things, but they blame others, and go on to live in peace.” Indeed the truth. It’s almost time to finally how it ends… It all comes down to this final stand. Netflix has debuted another new official trailer for Squid Game 3, the third and final season of the hit Korean thriller series about desperate people chasing money. The second season dropped last December though it’s only half – Netflix decided to split it up into two final seasons. Is everyone ready for the grand finale? Will 456 finally put an end to this? We’ll find out… Hundreds of cash-strapped players accept an invitation to play a series of games. A very tempting cash prize awaits with deadly high stakes: a whopping ₩45.6 billion prize for whoever can stay alive until the end. Director Hwang Dong-hyuk is about to deliver an especially bold ending, I can feel it. Squid Game 3’s cast features Lee Jung-jae as 456 and Lee Byung-hun as The Front Man, both very popular already, as well as Yim Si-wan, Kang Ha-neul, Wi Ha-jun, Park Gyu-young, Park Sung-hoon, Yang Dong-geun, Kang Ae-sim, Jo Yuri, Lee David, & Roh Jae-won. This final trailer is a “legacy trailer” looking back at everything from the first two seasons and all Player 456 has been through already. I’m ready for this.

The third and final season of Squid Game follows Gi-hun aka “456” (Lee Jung-jae) after losing his best friend in the game and being driven to utter despair by The Front Man (Lee Byung-hun), who was hiding his true identity to infiltrate the game. Gi-hun persists with his goal to put an end to the game, while the Front Man continues onto his next move. The surviving players’ choices will lead to graver consequences with each round. The world eagerly awaits to see the grand finale written and directed by Hwang Dong-hyuk, who vowed to bring the epic story to its deserved closure once & for all. Can we hope for humanity in the cruelest of realities? Fans all over the world are counting the days until the final answer is revealed.
Squid Game is a series all created and written and directed by Korean filmmaker Hwang Dong-hyuk, also director of the films My Father, Silenced, Miss Granny, The Fortress, plus Season 1 of Squid Game, which also won him an Emmy for Outstanding Directing. Produced by Firstman Studio in Korea. The first season premiered on Netflix in September 2021 and the second season debuted streaming last December. “It’s like Neverland. It’s beautiful… But it’s full of sharks.” Prime Video has revealed the teaser for Hotel Costiera, a new thriller crime series starring Jesse Williams set on the fanciest Mediterranean coast in Italy. It’s set for release starting in September this fall streaming on Prime Video, but they’re kicking off the buzz early with this teaser trailer now. Daniel De Luca, a former Marine, returns to Italy to work as a fixer at a luxury hotel in Positano on the Amalfi Coast. Shortly thereafter, the owner’s daughter disappears and De Luca is tasked with finding her. Daniel must do everything he can to bring her home, but facing those who kidnapped the girl will be more challenging than any problem Daniel has ever faced. The series stars Jesse Williams as Daniel De Luca, plus Maria Chiara Giannetta, Jordan Alexandra, Antonio Gerardi, Sam Haygarth, Tommaso Ragno, Amanda Campana, Pierpaolo Spollon, Alejandra Onieva, and Jean-Hugues Anglade. This looks like it might be entertaining enough to watch and pretend you’re there.

Ryan Phillipe & Bella Thorne in Small Town Thriller ‘Saint Clare’ Trailer

“I am the result of a modern world.” Quiver has revealed an official trailer for an indie thriller titled Saint Clare, arriving to watch this summer including on VOD. If anyone wants to watch it’ll be out next month. The film originally premiered at the 2024 Taormina Film Festival last year, because it’s made by an Italian filmmaker named Mitzi Peirone, and it also played at FrightFest in the UK last fall and other fests. Clare Bleecker is an average Catholic high school student who lives with her grandparents after being orphaned. She seems normal, but Clare will do whatever it takes to protect loved ones when confronted by the evil she faces in her small town. Adapted from the “Clare at Sixteen” novel series written by Don Roff, though they cast a 26-year-old woman in this main role instead. Starring Bella Thorne as Clare Bleecker, with Ryan Phillippe, Rebecca DeMornay, Frank Whaley, Bart Johnson, Erica Dasher, and others. This looks extra dark and violent, and it gets even darker once she gets caught in this web of corruption. Have a look.

“The Sandman can make your dreams come true!” Netflix has revealed a first look teaser trailer for a new animated movie arriving this year titled In Your Dreams, another new take on a “what if dreams came to life” concept. We already have Pixar’s Dream Productions series on Disney+ (and the Slumberland movie), and this is coming soon to Netflix this fall. In Your Dreams is a comedy adventure about Stevie and her brother Elliot who journey into the absurd landscape of their own dreams. If the siblings can withstand a snarky stuffed giraffe, zombie breakfast foods, and the queen of nightmares, the Sandman will grant them their ultimate dream come true…the perfect family. “What if your dreams could become reality?” This was just unveiled with a preview at the Annecy Film Festival in France. The voice cast features Jolie Hoang-Rappaport, Elias Janssen, Craig Robinson, Simu Liu, Cristin Milioti, Omid Djalili, Gia Carides, SungWon Cho, Zachary Noah Piser. Featuring music by John Debney. And with animation from Kuku Studios & Sony’s Imageworks. This looks super fun and weird and wacky! As a movie about dreams should.

Official Trailer for ‘Rage’ HBO Series Following ‘5 Women on the Edge’

“You young people suck!” HBO has revealed the official US trailer for the Spanish series Rage, premiering on Max for streaming starting in July this summer. Originally known as Furia, this will premiere in Spain on the exact same day, too. Five women face extreme situations like extortion, oppression, & manipulation. Their conflicts all intertwine, triggering a butterfly effect, ultimately leading to a shared catharsis. Rage, a series of eight 30-minute episodes, is created and directed by Félix Sabroso. The new series brings together five iconic actresses on screen together for the first time: Carmen Machi, Candela Peña, Cecilia Roth, Nathalie Poza, and Pilar Castro. These five women go to the limit and perpetrate revenge, but not even they are spared in this contemporary satire. Additional cast also includes Claudia Salas, Alberto San Juan, Ana Torrent, Claudia Roset, Mima Riera, Pedro Casablanc, Marilu Marini, Iván Pellicer, Francesc Garrido, Martxelo Rubio and Pepón Nieto, among others. This series looks very clever and entertaining, a spunky & satirical take on everything wrong with the world right now and how it treats women. Check this out below.

Mel Brooks Announces ‘Spaceballs 2’ Officially On the Way in 2027!

“May the Schwartz be with you!” Huzzah! Amazon MGM Studios has just posted an announcement video confirming that Spaceballs 2 is definitely happening. And they’re aiming for release in 2027. The video features the OG comedy mastermind Mel Brooks (who is now 98 years old!!) talking about the return of Spaceballs… 38 years later. Though by the time it’s actually released, it will be a full 40 years. The movie opened in 1987, a big time Hollywood spoof riffing on Star Wars, featuring Bill Pullman as Lone Starr, John Candy as Barf, Daphne Zuniga as Princess Vespa, Joan Rivers as the voice of Dot Matrix, plus Rick Moranis as Lord Dark Helmet. It’s one of my all-time favorite comedies! This funny announcement teaser features a hilarious Star Wars opening scroll riffing on all the sequels & franchises made in the 38 years since the first film, which still contains some of the funniest comedy riffs on sequels & franchises. Mel Brooks will be back and the sequel is being written by Josh Gad (who will also star) & directed by Josh Greenbaum. I’m hoping this will be a worthwhile follow-up! Especially because it means they’ll get to make fun of everything.

A star-pilot for hire and his trusty sidekick must come to the rescue of a princess and save Planet Druidia from the clutches of the evil Spaceballs. The sequel will continue where the first left off. Or will it? Spaceballs 2 is directed by the acclaimed comedy filmmaker Josh Greenbaum, director of the films Barb and Star Go to Vista Del Mar, Strays, and the terrific doc Will & Harper previously. The screenplay is written by Benji Samit, Dan Hernandez, and Josh Gad. It’s also being co-produced by Josh God. Developed and made by Amazon MGM Studios. Greenbaum’s Spaceballs 2 sci-fi comedy sequel will be arriving 2027 – hopefully in theaters first before streaming. Only time will tell! In the meantime, go rewatch the original Spaceballs a few more times. Who’s excited already?
