The latest film written and directed by indie filmmaker Jason Eric Perlman. After a terrifying encounter at an abandoned black ops government test site, a small town family man begins seeing haunting visions of a past that threatens to destroy his present. This sci-fi thriller involves some sort of time travel / time disruptor machine from the military that seems to go haywire, pulling this guy into its overlapping timelines. He gets some kind of "sight" into the past, it seems? Featuring an impressive cast with Jake McLaughlin, Arielle Kebbel, Theo Rossi, Miki Ishikawa, Clyde Kusatsu, Neagheen Homaifar, and Yoson An. Well, I'll be damned! This doesn't look that bad - check out the trailer. Ambitious, intriguing, with a complex concept involving many narratives interlinked with this guy at the center. What does it all mean? How to decipher? Here's the official trailer (+ poster) for Jason Eric Perlman's sci-fi thriller Site, direct from YouTube: While inspecting an abandoned military site, Neil Bardo […]

"Many people think they know my story, but now it's my turn to tell it..." Hulu has revealed a quick teaser for their next crime series coming up this summer titled The Twisted Tale of Amanda Knox. Another true crime series, this is a fictional version of the story of American Amanda Knox who was imprisoned for murder in Italy. Everyone knows her story as it was big in the media for many years - after being acquitted, Knox also wrote a memoir titled "Waiting to Be Heard" then Netflix released a doc about her called simply Amanda Knox. "Inspired by the story of how Amanda Knox was wrongfully convicted for the tragic murder of her roommate, Meredith Kercher, and her 16-year odyssey to set herself free." Grace Van Patten stars in this series created by "This Is Us" writer KJ Steinberg. The cast also features Sharon Horgan, John Hoogenakker, Francesco Acquaroli, Giuseppe De Domenico, and Roberta Mattei. "My richness is life." Regal Cinemas and Blue Fox Ent. have debuted another official trailer to celebrate the 2025 re-release of this iconic documentary titled Marley about the Jamaican reggae maestro Bob Marley. Made by director Kevin Macdonald, the director originally opened in 2012 and earned a BAFTA nomination. It was also re-released in 2020 to celebrate Bob's 75th birthday (we also posted a trailer then), but this was right during the middle of the pandemic summer. Now it's out for another round again - playing in theaters nationwide in 2025 in honor of what would have been Bob Marley's 80th birthday. Featuring rare footage, never-before-seen performances, and interviews with Marley’s family, friends, and collaborators, Marley offers an intimate and comprehensive look at the man behind the music. The film explores his journey from humble beginnings on the island of Jamaica to becoming one of the most influential musicians of all time, spreading messages of love, unity, peace, and resistance that continue to resonate worldwide today. This is a comprehensive and enlivening doc - always worth a watch anytime. To learn from Bob and to vibe with Bob. Lily Sullivan Stars in Cannibal Western Thriller ‘Forgive Us All’ Trailer

"If I can save you from doing what I had to... I'm going into that forest with you." Samuel Goldwyn Films has revealed an official trailer for the Kiwi neo-western thriller titled Forgive Us All, directed by Jordana Stott making her feature directorial debut. Made down in New Zealand, the new film is a post-apocalyptic survival tale involving cannibals, of course, because as they always do. Another bland direct-to-video movie to skip right over. A virus has made humans into violent cannibals known as Howlers. A woman sheltering in a mountain cabin must decide whether to help when a stranger on-the-run from the totalitarian G.M.A. organization arrives on her doorstep. The only escape from them is through the cannibal infested forest... Will they make it out alive? Starring Lily Sullivan, Callan Mulvey, Richard Roxburgh, Lance Giles, Bree Peters, Lawrence Makoare, Dean O'Gorman. Unfortunately this looks over-stylized & especially generic, a derivative cannibal concept mixed up with western tropes. Move along, nothing much to see here. Here's the official trailer (+ poster) for Jordana Stott's western thriller Forgive Us All, from YouTube: This is the story of "redemption in a world gone dark." This post-apocalyptic New Zealand neo-western thriller imagines a […]

Second Trailer for ‘I Know What You Did Last Summer’ 2025 Horror

"Outside of us, no one knows what happened... Right?" Sony Pictures has debuted a second official trailer for 2025 horror reboot I Know What You Did Last Summer, more of a horror remake / legacy sequel bringing back the original cast from the classic 90s horror movie again. The first I Know What You Did Last Summer opened in 1997 and was a huge hit in the 90s, resulting in two sequels: I Still Know What You Did Last Summer (the next year in 1998) and I'll Always Know What You Did Last Summer (a direct-to-video sequel in 2006). This next one connects back to the Southport, North Carolina accident from the first movie. A group of friends are terrorized by a stalker who knows about a gruesome incident from their past. Starring Madelyn Cline, Chase Sui Wonders, Jonah Hauer-King, Tyriq Withers (also in Him), Sarah Pidgeon, Billy Campbell, Gabbriette Bechtel, Austin Nichols, Lola Tung, Nicholas Alexander Chavez, with Freddie Prinze Jr., and Jennifer Love Hewitt (as Ray & Julie from the original movies). Very similar to the first trailer, with a few extra shots added in. I'm still not convinced this will be any good. Trailer #2 for Jennifer […]

New Trailer for German Family Drama ‘Dying’ Starring Lars Eidinger

"Everything I have to give is in this place." Picturehouse has debuted an official trailer for the upcoming UK release this summer of the German family drama film titled Dying – yes that's the direct translation from the film's original Sterben in German. This premiered at the 2024 Berlinale Film Festival and already won awards – including Best Film at the German Film Awards just last year. An epic and darkly funny symphony of family dysfunction, Dying follows the estranged members of the Lunies family as they wrestle with chaotic private lives. Lars Eidinger stars as an acclaimed conductor, juggling working and his parent and the rest of his family. It already played at tons of fests and has 100% on RT for now. Dying is a brilliant and sharply comic portrayal of a family unraveling...with outrageous consequences. The cast includes Lars with Lilith Stangenberg, Corinna Harfouch, Robert Gwisdek, Ronald Zehrfeld, Saskia Rosendahl, Anna Bederke, and Hans-Uwe Bauer. This is a fantastic trailer for Dying, setting up the family dynamic and emotional stakes and the clever humor, with a few critics' quotes offering glowing praise. Worth a look. Here's the official UK trailer (+ two posters) for Matthias Glasner's film […]

Commandos on an Alien Spacecraft in ‘Osiris’ Action Thriller Trailer

"What are they after?" "They're hungry..." Vertical has revealed an official trailer for an action movie called Osiris, a sci-fi thriller about a group of soldiers trying to survive on a hostile alien spacecraft. It's directed by filmmaker William Kaufman, a former US Army Calvary Scout, who has made a bunch of action movies over the last decade most people haven't seen. In this movie, a team of Special Forces commandos are in the middle of an operation when they are abducted by a mysterious spacecraft. When they wake up aboard the extraterrestrial spaceship, they soon discover they are being hunted as prey by a merciless alien race. Uh oh. The full cast includes Max Martini, Brianna Hildebrand, LaMonica Garrett, Michael Irby, David B. Meadows, Linds Edwards, Tyler Galpin, Jaren Mitchell, Dawson Towery, and Stanley White Jr. Plus the OG Terminator badass heroine Linda Hamilton. Reminds me of Predator, of course, but with different kinds of aliens who just want to eat all these humans as food. Not sure if this will end up any good. Here's the official trailer (+ poster) for William Kaufman's sci-fi thriller Osiris, direct from YouTube: A team of Special Forces commandos wake up on […]

Watch: Mesmerizing Animated Short ‘Potlems’ About a Porcelain Pot

"My flame gives you life... My crater is your home... Stay close to me..." Meet Ginger, a tiny little porcelain tea pot created by the Fire God. But there is something a bit strange about him... which is what makes him unique. Potlems is a mesmerizing animated short film created & directed by Spanish animation filmmaker Alberto Allegri Rodríguez. This is his official graduation project from The Animation Workshop / VIA University College in Denmark, where he has been studying Character Animation over these past few years. Potlems is a 3D mini-opera styled in the aesthetic of 70s stop-motion. In a town of ever-smiling porcelain children, Ginger is created with a fatal flaw: a frown is accidentally painted on his face. "What started as a fun world-building concept evolved into an exploration of my feelings of vulnerability related to growing up with a disability," Alberto explains. The result is an empowering, emotional little animated film about what makes us different and why we should embrace those differences instead of trying to hide them. View below. Thanks to Short of the Week for the tip. Intro from YouTube: "In a town of ever-smiling porcelain children, Ginger is created with a fatal […]

Eric Bana in Yosemite in Mystery Thriller ‘Untamed’ First Look Teaser

"People come here to explore... things happen different out here." Netflix has revealed the teaser trailer for Untamed, a new mystery thriller series coming to Netflix this summer. "What dark secrets does Yosemite National Park hold? Eric Bana stars in Untamed, a new mystery thriller from a writer of The Revenant and American Primeval." This almost seems like it's a continuation of Eric Bana's other murder whodunit film series – The Dry and Force of Nature: The Dry 2 – except now he's up in America solving more crimes in the National Parks there instead of Australia. This new series is co-created & co-written by Mark L. Smith, a screenwriter on The Revenant, Overlord, The Midnight Sky, The Marsh King's Daughter, Twisters, and American Primeval previously. The full ensemble cast includes Eric Bana as Kyle Turner, a special agent for the National Park Service Investigative Services Branch (ISB), with Sam Neill, Lily Santiago, Rosemary DeWitt, Wilson Bethel, Ezra Franky, and Josh Randall. So far so good – I'm intrigued to learn more. First Trailer for Hitman Comedy ‘London Calling’ with Josh Duhamel

"It's a new era. You've gotta know when to put it down..." Quiver Distr. has revealed the official trailer for a crime comedy action thriller titled London Calling, the latest from Canadian filmmaker Allan Ungar. This initially premiered in the market at the Toronto Film Festival last year, and it's now ready for release in theaters in September later this year. After fleeing the UK from a job gone wrong, a down on his luck hitman is forced to babysit the son of his new crime boss and show him how to become a man. This sounds a bit like a new spin on the same story from Léon: The Professional, where this grizzled hitman has to watch over a kid and train him in the ways of being an assassin. Although this looks more like a direct-to-TV remake than anything actually worth watching. London Calling stars Josh Duhamel as Tommy Ward, Rick Hoffman, Aidan Gillen, Arnold Vosloo, Neil Sandilands, and Jeremy Ray Taylor as Julian. This kid looks fun. Here's the first official trailer for Allan Ungar's comedy London Calling, direct from YouTube: After fleeing the UK from a job gone wrong, a down on his luck hitman (starring […]

Hilarious Full Trailer for ‘The Naked Gun’ Reboot Starring Liam Neeson

"They're going to shut down Police Squad if you don't solve this case. Do this by the book..." Or else! Ha. That's the sound of tha police! Paramount has debuted the first full official trailer for their reboot of The Naked Gun, a comedy franchise involving a buffoon police officer and his just as goofy colleagues on the Police Squad (first teaser was in April). This new remake / reboot is directed by Lonely Island mastermind Akiva Schaffer, who also made the other hilarious movies Hot Rod, The Watch, and Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers recently. It's the single most important Naked Gun movie since the other Naked Gun movies. Only one man has the particular set of skills... to lead Police Squad and save the world! Liam Neeson stars in this as Lt. Frank Drebin Jr., son of the original Frank Drebin, played by comedy maestro Leslie Nielsen. Joining the case are Pamela Anderson, Paul Walter Hauser, CCH Pounder, Kevin Durand, Cody Rhodes, Liza Koshy, Eddie Yu, with Danny Huston. The three original Naked Gun movies are some of the funniest ever made – for real. Thankfully this also looks hilarious! Of course it's Akiva Schaffer pulling off an […]

First Trailer for ‘Went Up the Hill’ Ghost Story Starring Vicky Krieps

"She's not gone... she spoke to me too last night." Greenwich Entertainment has unveiled the first official trailer for Went Up the Hill, an intriguing ghost story film from New Zealand. This initially premiered at the 2024 Toronto Film Festival last year, and will be released in limited theaters this summer in the US. The second feature made by Kiwi director Samuel Van Grinsven, also of Sequin in a Blue Room before this. Jack ventures to remote New Zealand for the funeral of his estranged mother and meets her widow Jill. But his mother's spirit returns to inhabit each of their bodies – instigating a life-threatening three-way nocturnal dance. Went Up the Hill is a psychological drama is inspired by writer / director Samuel Van Grinsven's own memories of his childhood in New Zealand’s South Island. An intimate, modern ghost story that explores the extremities of grief in our pursuit of letting go. The film stars Dacre Montgomery, Vicky Krieps, and Sarah Peirse. This looks like it has some serious style, with slick cinematography by DP Tyson Perkins, along with an unsettling supernatural tale to tell. Described in reviews as "stunning, uneasy, & harrowing." Here's the first official trailer for […]

Dermot Mulroney & Dom Monaghan in Western ‘Long Shadows’ Trailer

"You're asking for the grave." Quiver Distribution has unveiled an official trailer for a western called Long Shadows, another redundant American western drama about a batch of desperate people getting into even more trouble when everyone starts trying to kill everyone else. It's directed by actor William Shockley as his feature directorial debut, and also features former NFL star Tom Brady as a producer. When a young boy's mother and father are savagely murdered, he ages out of an orphanage intent on revenge, but the love of a girl and psychological trauma lead him down a mystifying path. In a rapidly modernizing American West, Long Shadows is the riveting story of a broken young man, a survivor of tragic violence, torn between his thirst for vengeance and love's redemption, & his soul so fractured reality itself is questioned. This western action thriller stars Dermot Mulroney & Dominic Monaghan, with Jacqueline Bisset, Blaine Maye, Sarah Cortez, Chris Mulkey, Anthony Skordi, and Ronnie Gene Blevins. This looks slightly better than most of the junk westerns being made recently, but still nothing to write home about. It's worth a look. Here's the official trailer (+ poster) for William Shockley's western film Long Shadows, […]
