East of England Weed Sellers Comedy ‘Chicken Town’ Official Trailer
"Do you have a sample for me?" Verve Pictures in the UK has debuted an official trailer for an indie film titled Chicken Town, the latest from British filmmaker Richard Bracewell. It's set for release in the UK first this June, and should alos be out in the US later this year. Two schoolfriends in a dead-end town in the East of England join forces with a green-fingered grandad to fence a shed of weed the old man accidentally grew on his allotment. Together they form an alliance of age & youth, an unlikely partnership between the forgetful and the forgotten. Bracewell describes the indie film is "a story about the contradictions of modern family life; a film with both a heart and a conscience. If Greta Gerwig and Shane Meadows had a love-child we hope it might resemble Chicken Town." Ha. That sounds like good fun. The film stars Ethaniel Davy & Amelie Davies, comedian Graham Fellows, plus a youth cast chosen from The Television Workshop in Nottingham - including Ramy Ben Fredj, Hugo Carter, & Everett Gaskin. Keep an eye out for this one. Here's the official UK trailer (+ poster) for Richard Bracewell's film Chicken Town, direct […]

‘Marlee Matlin: Not Alone Anymore’ Doc Trailer About the Deaf Actress
"Be the difference and be loud." Kino Lorber has revealed the official trailer for an acclaimed documentary film titled Marlee Matlin: Not Alone Anymore, opening in theaters in June coming up soon. This first premiered at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival earlier this year earning great reviews, before showing up at tons of other festivals including: SXSW, Hot Docs, RiverRun, Thessaloniki, Sarasota, Mammoth Lake, and many others. This is the story of Deaf actress Marlee Matlin, who won the Oscar at age 21, and made her big comeback with CODA recently. Director Shoshannah Stern reimagines traditional doc film storytelling, elevating ASL as the film's heart & soul while removing the typical voiceovers and including open captions, creating an authentic & visually immersive experience for all to enjoy. Through split-screen interviews with both Deaf and hearing contributors, the film weaves a poignant & inspiring narrative of Matlin's legendary career, highlighting her tireless fight for inclusion and representation in an entertainment world that at first had no place for her. She's awesome. Yep – this looks like it's an engaging and uplifting biopic doc to watch. Here's the official trailer for Shoshannah Stern's doc Marlee Matlin: Not Alone Anymore, on YouTube: In […]

"We're a team!" "All system go!" "Roger that." Netflix has unveiled the first look teaser for a new whodunit comedy called The Thursday Murder Club, arriving to watch on streaming in August later this summer. From Home Alone / Harry Potter director Chris Columbus, the film is the latest to be produced through the Netflix and Amblin Entertainment partnership. Everyone around her, including her beloved Mother, eagerly awaits her departure... But soon Elisa realizes that she does not want to leave and that simply saying so is not enough.
