“Everything changed that night! Everything…” Blue Harbor Ent. has revealed the first official trailer for an intriguing new sci-fi thriller about UFOs titled Star People, arriving to watch starting in July. We haven’t heard about this before, but that’s because it’s premiering at the Dances With Film Festival coming up this week, then there might be buzz. A photographer receives a tip that could shed light on her childhood UFO sighting, but a heatwave and some unexpected guests threaten to derail her investigation. Inspired by The Phoenix Lights, the largest mass UFO sighting in U.S. history, Star People is a sci-fi thriller that tells the story of a woman named Claire searching for answers about aliens. Starring Kat Cunning, McCabe Slye, Eddie Martinez, Adriana Aluna Martinez, and Connor Paolo. “This eerie, atmospheric thriller deals with one of the more confounding events that remains in question today.” It looks interesting, though from this trailer it seems like she’s going to realize that life down on Earth is more important than chasing lights.

Inspired by The Phoenix Lights, known as the largest mass UFO sighting in US history (in Arizona & Nevada in March 1997), Star People is a sci-fi thriller that tells the story of a photographer (Kat Cunning) who receives a tip that could finally shed light on her childhood UFO sighting, but a deadly heatwave and unexpected guests threaten to derail her obsessive search for answers. Star People is written and directed by indie filmmaker Adam Finberg, making his first narrative feature after directing the doc The Business of Recovery previously, and a few other short films. Produced by Josh Shader and Adam Finberg. This is premiering at the 2025 Dances With Films Festival this month. Blue Harbor will then debut Finberg’s Star People film in select US theaters on July 25th, then on VOD starting August 12th coming soon. Curious?
