Trailer for ‘Wick is Pain’ Doc – On Keanu Reeves Making ‘John Wick’

“We might as well tell the whole story…” Lionsgate has unveiled an offiical trailer for a documentary film titled Wick is Pain, from filmmaker Jeffrey Doe. This doc is a companion to the upcoming Ballerina spin-off movie (starring Ana de Armas), offering fans an inside look at the remarkable making of and the legacy of the John Wick franchise. “What began as an independent film, facing numerous obstacles, including financing challenges, before Lionsgate acquired it in 2014, quickly evolved into a global phenomenon that redefined the action genre and launched three mega-hit sequels.” The original John Wick starring Keanu Reeves opened in theaters in 2014 – but it wasn’t easy to pull off. They ran out of money, needing an extra $6 million, until it was Eva Longoria who put up the cash (read her story here). The rest is history, as they say! Four five movies later… This doc features Keanu, creators Chad Stahelski and Derek Kolstad, and many other people involved in the movies, talking about how it all happened & how it keeps on kicking ass.
