Journalists Seek Truth in Mystery Thriller Series ‘The Kollective’ Trailer

“This isn’t an accident, it is a cover-up!” Of course! Hulu has revealed the official trailer for a journalism thriller series called The Kollective, arriving to watch in June streaming on Hulu. It is a European series co-produced by journalism networks in Italy, France, and Germany, and it’s created & written by a series of Italian screenwriters. The series centers on a group of young civilian journalists – known as “The Kollective” – who embark on a mission to find out the full truth after their friend is murdered following the mysterious crash of a civilian aircraft. As their quest continues, they expose an international web of lies and corruption, and learn just how far they are prepared to go – confronting the human cost of revealing the truth. Scary! The full ensemble cast includes Natascha McElhone, Céline Buckens, Felix Mayr, Grégory Montel, Gregg Sulkin, Martha Canga Antonio, and Gijs Blom. The Kollective “explores the price people are willing to pay to keep the truth alive.” Presented in English, though there will be many languages spoken in this. A pro-journalism series that’s meant to inspire the world to keep supporting & following truth-seekers.

The Kollective series follows a group of citizen journalists who, after the surprise loss of one of their members working in the Congo, get sucked into a globe-spanning web of lies and corruption. The Kollective is a series created by writers Leonardo Fasoli, Maddalena Ravagli, and Femke Wolting. With episodes written by Leonardo Fasoli (Gomorrah, ZeroZeroZero), Edward Hemming (The Crown series), and Maddalena Ravagli (Gomorrah). Featuring episodes directed by Assaf Bernstein and Randa Chahoud. Developed by France Télévisions, RAI, and ZDF. The series is financially supported by Creative Europe, Council of Europe Pilot Programme for Series Co-Productions, and the Netherlands Film Fund.
