Japanese Supernatural Action ‘Ghost Killer’ Trailer with Akari Takaishi

“Why don’t you die?!” Well Go USA has revealed the official US trailer for a Japanese action thriller called Ghost Killer, arriving on VOD to watch later in July. It’s from the same screenwriter behind the genre hits Baby Assassins, One-Percent Warrior, and Bad City. After playing Fantastic Fest and Sitges Film Festival last year, it’s ready to launch in the US for everyone to enjoy. After being possessed by the ghost of vengeful hit man Kudo, college student Fumika Matsuoka agrees to help him finish his quest to get vengeance from beyond the grave. As Fumika struggles to handle her own problems, she gets to know Hideo, the ghost of the assassin following her around. The young woman decides to take revenge on the gangsters who killed her spectral friend and deal out some justice of her own along the way. Starring Akari Takaishi as Fumika, and Masanori Mimoto as Hideo Kudo, along with a massive ensemble cast featuring Mario Kuroba, Sora Inoue, Akaka Higashino, Naohiro Kawamoto, Hidenobu Abera, Naoto Kuratomi, Satoshi Kibe, Ryu Ichinose, Yasukaze Motomiya, Hiroto Honda, & Kenta Kawasaki. From the action film director of Baby Assassins, One-Percent Warrior, and Bad City, Ghost Killer delivers a furious tale of supernatural revenge. Ghost Killer, also known as ゴーストキラー in Japanese, is directed by Japanese filmmaker Kensuke Sonomura, director of the films Hydra and Bad City previously. The screenplay is written by Yugo Sakamoto. Produced by Riku Tsunoda and Eiichi Sugaya. This initially premiered at Fantastic Fest 2024 and the Sitges Film Festival last year. This already opened first in theaters in Japan in April earlier this year. Well Go USA will debut Kensuke Sonomura’s Ghost Killer film direct-to-VOD in the US starting on July 22nd, 2025 coming soon.
