First Full Trailer for Luc Besson’s ‘Dracula’ Feat. Caleb Landry Jones

“He’s been looking for his beloved for more than 400 years…” Surprise! Luc Besson and EuropaCorp have been working on their own new Dracula movie, in addition to Robert Eggers’ Nosferatu last year. Take a look at the very first trailer for Luc Besson’s Dracula: A Love Tale, as it’s officially called. Written in the 1890s, the old Dracula book follows a nobleman who loses his wife and in his grief and cursing of God is transformed into a vampire. While the original Bram Stoker story leaves on the doomed ship the Demeter, Besson’s take will focus on the beginning of Dracula’s life and his relationship with his wife. Caleb Landry Jones (who was also in Besson’s DogMan) stars as Prince Vladimir. When his wife is killed, a 15th century prince renounces God and becomes a vampire. Centuries later in 19th century London, Vlad sees a woman resembling his late wife and pursues her, sealing his own fate. Also starring Zoë Bleu Sidel, Christoph Waltz, Matilda de Angelis, and Guillaume de Tonquédec. Dracula is Besson’s most ambitious project since his 2016 sci-fi epic Valerian – it’s shot in English, presented with French subtitles in this trailer. Enjoy.
