“You’re just trying to eat more food than the people next to you… that’s it.” The Iron Fitness Network has revealed an official trailer for a documentary titled James Can Eat, the latest doc directed by the original Generation Iron director Vlad Yudin. The film will be out on VOD in August. James Can Eat is a gripping documentary feature about the Insane World of Professional Competitive Eating! It traces the rise of James Webb (not related to NASA’s space telescope) – Australia’s top-ranked competitive eater and the 4th in the world, as he battles physical limits, personal setbacks, and global rivals in his quest to dethrone eating icon Joey Chestnut. The film delves into the grueling training, health consequences, and ethical controversies of the sport, culminating in a dramatic showdown at the iconic Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest, where chaos threatens to derail everything. At its core, James Can Eat is a story of resilience, obsession, and the human drive to be the best—no matter the cost. I’m sorry to say but this dude just seems crazy! Way too much food.
