Following Will Trent’s cliffhanger-filled Season 3 finale, there are many questions that fans have. Unfortunately, answers will not be coming on the 2025 TV schedule, as Season 4 is confirmed to premiere during midseason 2026. The wait will be an excruciating one, but it’s never too early to think about what could possibly go down. Along with all that the personal drama the characters will be dealing with, star Ramón Rodriguez has added yet another wrinkle.
The final episodes of Will Trent Season 3 kept tossing out twist after twist, and that’s not even including the life-or-death cliffhangers that the finale brought. So there will be a lot that Season 4 will have to address pretty quickly, and although the show won’t return until January at the earliest, that doesn’t mean it’s not already on Rodriguez’s mind.
The Los Angeles Timesabout what audiences can expect for the upcoming season, and those cliffhangers aren’t all that will be addressed:
Will was also with Gina Rodriguez’s ADA Marion Alba during the first half of Season 3, but she broke things off with him. It would be nice for something to go right in Will’s life for once. Not that finding his biological dad isn’t great, but he just has a lot on his plate.
That being said, there is quite a lot going on in the show, so it’s quite possible that Will’s love life won’t take precedent in the beginning. Since it’s on Rodriguez’s mind, Will might not be single for very long. Between finding his biological dad and someone else he’s very close to in the hospital, he will need to lean on someone for emotional support. Whether that’s someone new or old is anyone’s guess.
Considering Will Trent delivered its best season yet, the fact that the show won’t be back until 2026 makes the wait all the more frustrating. The show will also have a lot to touch on. At the very least, since conversations will soon be starting up for Season 4, it might not be too long until filming starts. And with filming comes a bit more information and BTS content, which is better than nothing.
Will Trent Season 4 may not be here for a while, but the first three seasons are streaming with a Hulu subscription, so fans can always catch up while waiting. However, the wait might seem even longer after going back and rewatching the cliffhangers that Season 3 had. Either way, Season 4 will hopefully be well worth the wait.
We’re slightly less than halfway through the 2025 movie schedule, and some wild times have already been had at the box office. A pair of Marvel movies failed to make their usual explosive debut, and instead, one of the biggest movies of the year has been Sinners, an original film not connected to any franchise. The film had previously been the second highest-grossing movie at the domestic box office, but Disney’s Lilo &Stitch remake has now taken that honor.
At over $267 million at the domestic box office, Sinners had been the number two movie of 2025. Lilo & Stitch now sits at nearly $285 million. It’s going to take some doing for Disney’s little blue troublemaker to become the highest-grossing movie of the year, however. A Minecraft Movie currently sits atop the box office at $423 million.
Sinners Box Office Success Was Unprecedented
Sinners, however, had virtually no drop in its box office take between its first two weekends, a nearly unheard of statistic. Lilo & Stitch saw a nearly 60% drop between its first two weekends, which is fairly standard for major tentpole releases.
Lilo & Stitch Shows Disney’s Live-Action Remakes Can Still Be Box Office Gold
If Lilo & Stitch means anything in the broader box office landscape, it’s that despite the overall failure of Snow White, live-action remakes of popular animated films are still popular with fans. Lilo & Stitch is in the upper tier of the box office results for those films, only behind movies that grossed a billion dollars worldwide, like Aladdin, Alice in Wonderland, and The Lion King.
Lilo & Stitch seems unlikely to reach quite those heights; it’s broken $600 million and the global box office, but with the movie having been released in all countries, save Japan, where it will open this weekend, it has certainly made most of the money it’s going to make. The major thing that may stop the momentum of Lilo & Stitch may, ironically, be another family-friendly live-action remake of a popular animated film. How to Train Your Dragon is set to hit theaters next weekend.

Prime Video has debuted the second trailer for an action comedy movie called Heads of State, which will be ready to watch in July – though streaming only (not in theaters at all). A wild, totally bonkers fun action comedy movie from Russian filmmaker Ilya Naishuller, also behind the action hits Nobody and Hardcore Henry previously. Two heads are better than one. Idris Elba plays the UK Prime Minister and John Cena plays the US President – the two “Heads of State” have a public rivalry that risks their countries’ alliance. But when they become targets of a powerful enemy, they’re forced to rely on each other as they end up on a crazy multinational run. Allied with Noel, a brilliant MI6 agent, they must find a way to thwart a conspiracy that threatens the free world. The film also stars Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Stephen Root, Carla Gugino, Jack Quaid, Sarah Niles, and Paddy Considine – who is narrating this trailer (though he sounds & looks a lot like Sharlto Copley). There’s some ridiculous humor in this and the action looks absurdly over-the-top – it might just be a good time in the end.

The red carpet shimmered brighter than a mirrored jewelry box as Ana de Armas and the radiant cast of the upcoming Ballerina took center stage at the John Wick offshoot’s premiere, serving only the highest of fashion. With elegance and enough sparkle to put a Swarovski showroom to shame, the ladies of the not-quite-a-spinoff action movie arrived dressed to kill, sporting tulle and sparkles, and they were absolutely En Pointe.
In one image from the event, which you can see below, de Armas was front and center, dazzling in a lavender, body-hugging gown drenched in sequins. Her look struck the perfect balance between classic Hollywood and cold-blooded assassin, very much in tune with the character’s lethal grace in her 2025 movie release. Her cascading waves and understated glam, which she shared a closer look at on her Instagram account, gave her the poise of a prima ballerina and the firey visage of a woman you do not want to cross.

Joining her in this couture corps de ballet was Catalina Sandino Moreno (far left), whose crystal-dusted ivory gown flowed like chiffon. Though plot details are under wraps tighter than a dancer’s bun, one thing’s clear: Moreno’s role is central, and her front-and-center red carpet presence proved it.
Keanu Reeves, who reprises his role as John Wick in the film, arrived looking sharp, as always, in a dark suit and tie. On-screen, Wick tangos with Eve in a tension-laced gunfight teased in the trailer. Off-screen, Reeves brought the calm intensity of a danseur noble—a man who’s been through all four acts and is still standing.

The rest of the fantastic Ballerina cast, featuring Norman Reedus, Ian McShane, and Gabriel Byrne, strengthened the lineup. Reedus and McShane maintained a Wick-inspired aesthetic, mainly wearing all-black outfits, with McShane sporting a suitably plum undershirt. In contrast, Byrne added a subtle twist with a muted teal suit, introducing a hint of color without disrupting the noir mood. Together, they formed an impressive supporting ensemble on stage, and surely, at the box office when the film drops.

Ballerina is the latest title in the expanding John Wick universe, following the prequel series The Continental, which is streaming with a Peacock subscription. A few weeks ago, it was announced that several other exciting projects related to the franchise are also in development.
Don’t worry if you haven’t seen The Continental; neither has cast member Ian Shane. He refused to watch because he disagreed with how his character was portrayed. Fortunately, it’s not necessary to catch up on the series before watching the Ana de Armas-led film, which will be released in theaters everywhere on Friday, June 6th.
Todd and Julie Chrisley are no longer in prison as, near the end of May, U.S. President Donald Trump extended pardons to them. In 2022, the Chrisleys were found guilty and convicted for bank fraud, tax evasion and other offenses. Efforts were subsequently made to have their convictions overturned and, later on, the couple began to eye potential pardons. The pair’s oldest daughter, Savannah, spearheaded the attempts to have them released and, now that they are, she’s not only celebrating but also addressing some rumors.
Since her parents reported to their respective prisons in early 2023, Savannah Chrisley has been particularly vocal about her feelings on their verdicts and her belief that their case was mishandled. On the heels of the pardon, Chrisley took to social media to share a video in which she expressed excitement over Julie and Todd’s release. Since then, there’s apparently been gossip about Savannah having paid and/or performed sexual favors to land the pardon. She addressed that during an episode of her Unlocked Podcast from PodcastOne:
One thing I did want to address was the accusations that this presidential pardon happened because I bought it or I slept with someone. Both claims are laughable. I wish you could see my bank account, number one. And number two, I’m not sleeping with someone for a pardon or two. I mean, [I’m] just not doing it. I have more self-respect than to do those things.

Chrisley also made claims about Todd and Julie’s prison conditions, saying their living spaces were unsuitable that her mom was dealing with snakes. (The Federal Bureau of Prisons responded and stated that inmates had adequate living quarters.)
Chrisleys have a new reality TV show that’s been ordered to series at Lifetime. Upon the official announcement, it was said that the parents’ absence would be a major part of it. However, Savannah said during her podcast that her family has continued filming amid her parents’ returns.
The Chrisleys have received advice on their next steps, though. Presidential “pardon czar” Alice Marie Johnson – who served over two decades in prison – recommended that the couple take a breather and settle back into society as needed. Additionally, Johnson believes Julie and Todd will become criminal justice reform advocates. If that happens, their efforts may mirror those of Savannah, who will likely continue to be adamant about that work being the true reason for her parents’ release.
Scarlett Johansson has had a long and wildly successful career, including her tenure in the MCU (which is streaming with a Disney+ subscription). While moviegoers want to see her back as Black Widow in upcoming Marvel movies, she’s going to be back on the big screen shortly in Jurassic World Rebirth. The actress recently shared a fun story about bring the Avengers to a Jurassic movie, and it’s giving serious shawarma vibes.
What we know about Jurassic World Rebirthis still limited, but ScarJo has been open about how long she’s wanted to join the franchise. So it should be no surprise that she brought the Avengers cast to see the previous movies. She told the story to THR, offering:
When the new Jurassic World came out, we were in New Mexico filming one of the Avengers films, and I set up this weekend outing. We took a big group and ate chicken fingers and nachos and yelled at the screen. I was so pumped that there was a new generation of Jurassic. Now that I get to be in one, it’s just crazy.

The Battle of New York was a hilarious final gag. And I’m sure I’m not the only Marvel fan who saw the simliarities between that scene and the cast’s trip to Jurassic World.

Now that Scarlett Johansson is getting her wish to join the beloved dino-centric franchise, I hope that she’ll be able to get some of the group together for a screening. The Avengers famously have a group chat, so maybe that’s where a plan can come together. After all, the Jurassic World Rebirth trailer looks like a total blast. Despite Jurassic World Dominion’s disappointing critical response (and it only being in theaters a few years ago), anticipation for Rebirth seems to be steadily building. This is partly thanks to the movie’s killer cast, with Scarlett Johansson joined by heartthrob Jonathan Bailey and Oscar winner Mahershala Ali. It looks like the franchise is returning to its roots, and will once again be about dinosaurs rather than bugs.
Jurassic World Rebirth is currently expected to arrive in theaters on July 2nd as part of the 2025 movie release list. We’ll just have to wait and see if there’s any stories about the OG Avengers’ reactions.
