Cameron Boyce’s Mom Has Seen The Happy Gilmore 2 Tribute, Confirms He Was Supposed To Be In Another Sandler Film Before His Death

Those who have already seen the 2025 movie Happy Gilmore 2 will know that the picture has a surprise tribute to the late Cameron Boyce. The short moment has warmed the hearts of fans who knew of the young man’s work with Adam Sandler, prompting tons of thanks for including him in the recent legacyquel. Most notably, this gesture has caught the attention of Libby Boyce, Cameron’s mother, and with her gratitude came a confirmation of what would have been the next collaboration between the Grown Ups stars.

Featuring a write-up on the Happy Gilmore sequel’s easter egg on Ms. Boyce’s Instagram, she shared that the pair had kept in touch before Cameron Boyce’s untimely passing in 2019. It was through those conversations that a long-discussed reteaming was hatched, with Libby Boyce confirming in the following statement:

Adam and Cameron talked quite a bit in the days leading up to his death. Cameron was supposed to be in Hubie Halloween and they were strategizing. They had a bond I think related to being authentic, funny and just keeping it real. Adam always finds a way to keep Cam’s memory alive which warms our heart.

HuffPost reporting from 2020, the role of Hubie Halloween’s teenage bully Mike Mundi was supposed to be played by Boyce. In what felt like a fitting gesture, his former Jessie co-star Karan Brar stepped into the part in his absence. Though as highlighted by Libby Boyce, Cameron’s memory never seems too far behind when talking to those who knew and loved him the most.

Cameron Boyce’s friends recently celebrated his memory, showing the legacy he left behind in his all too brief life almost six years later. In his own way, Adam Sandler has offered his own contribution to that parade of fondness, even through something as simple as including footage from his acting career in his own project.

Another Instagram post from Libby Boyce thanked the SNL vet for that kindness, simply showing gratitude through these words:

Thank you @adamsandler for honoring Cam’s legacy in Happy Gilmore 2

Reading through the reaction of Cameron Boyce’s mother, it’s tempting to try and figure out who the Descendants franchise star could have played in Happy Gilmore 2. While the scenario is a pure “what if…,” one would like to think that Adam Sandler’s connection with his young co-star would have inspired him to try.

That bittersweet air is something to keep in mind when watching the long-awaited follow up to Happy Gilmore, as it’s the energy that’s present throughout the entire film. Which is admittedly a side effect of massive Happy Gilmore 2 rewrites in the wake of Carl Weather’s passing. Those looking to get back in the links will still have plenty of fun to look forward to as they stream this Netflix movie exclusive.

The Wildly Secret Way Taylor Swift Reportedly Filmed Her New Music Video (And NDAs Were Involved)

Taylor Swift’s upcoming projects almost always stay a big secret until she wants us to know about them. By dropping Easter eggs, Swifties clown all the time about what could come next. However, ultimately, everything is kept under lock and key. That seems to remain true now, as we wait for her twelfth album, as reports emerged claiming the lengths the pop star allegedly went to keep her new song a secret while filming its music video.

Now that the Eras Tour is over, The Tortured Poets Department has been out for over a year and Taylor Swift fully owns all her music, anticipation for her next new album is running high. It would seem we might be close to said new music, too, because there have been rumors going around that the pop star has been filming a new music video in Los Angeles.

The Sun, it was alleged that those working on this supposed new music video for Swift apparently weren’t even allowed to hear the music. The insider alleged:

Reality Tea that there was “presidential-level secrecy” around it. That meant the crew had no idea what it was about, because they couldn’t hear it. This report also claimed that everyone working on the project had to sign NDAs, too.

That’s pretty intense security to protect a song, but I get it.

Taylor Swift is one of the biggest pop stars on the planet; her fans (myself included) want to know about her every move and are deeply invested in her work and life. So, to protect those things, extreme action has to be taken to keep them all under wraps.

This whole rumored situation reminds me of the extent Marvel goes to keep its secrets, like it did with Ironheart. While extreme, not giving out full scripts or making actors move around in cloaks helps protect the project and ultimately helps prevent spoilers. They can’t have folks like, I hate to say this, a young Tom Holland spoiling by accident, and I assume Swift is in a similar boat.

Like high-profile movies, high-profile musicians have to operate in a way that keeps the content hidden from even those who are helping them make it. You never know who might leak something or if something might get out to the public. So, these people do what they can to prevent that.

Allegedly, this time, that meant Swift not playing the song for her crew, which is pretty wild. However, if this is for a new song and album, at least they’ll all get to be surprised alongside all of us when Taylor Swift’s music video drops.

32 Human Movie And TV Characters Who Turned Into Animals

32 Human Movie And TV Characters Who Turned Into Animals

I am both fascinated and horrified by the idea of being transformed into an animal. This is likely because I have seen numerous films and TV shows, such as the following, that depict human characters undergoing this process, either by choice or against their will.

Quick disclaimer: I wanted to keep this list exclusive to characters who, in most cases, fully metamorphosed into an Earthly non-human being, so there will be no half-human, half-creature hybrids like in The Fly or other body horror flicks of that nature, or mentions of werewolf movies, for instance. Without further ado, let’s get wild!

Wilby Daniels (The Shaggy Dog)

movies about talking dogs involve a canine who started off as human, such as The Shaggy Dog. Disney’s live-action fantasy from 1959, which later spawned a sequel called The Shaggy D.A. and a remake with Tim Allen, stars Tommy Kirk as Wilby Daniels, a teenager who is cursed with an affliction that periodically transforms him into a sheepdog.

Disney animated film The Princess and the Frog is based on, the prince returns to human form after receiving a kiss from the princess. However, in this reimaging, when New Orleans restaurant server Tiana (Anika Noni Rose) kisses Prince Naveen (Bruno Campos), she becomes a ribbiting amphibian as well.

Harry Potter movies, Professor Minerva McGonagall, frequently uses a spell that transforms her into a cat. She demonstrates this in 2000’s Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, when the title hero (played by Daniel Radcliffe) and Ron Weasley (Rupert Grint) assume they have made it to the Hogwarts instructor’s class before she arrives, only to discover she was the feline sitting atop her desk.

beloved animated series, Teen Titans, as voiced by Greg Cipes.

Justice League, Super Friends. While the male sibling, Zan, can only turn into water (including in liquid, solid, or gaseous form), his sister, Jayna, can transform into any animal existing on any planet, even including mythological creatures.

David Spade voices a selfish royal named Kuzco, who receives a much-needed crash course in humility in a most bizarre fashion. When he is mistakenly transformed into a llama by his vengeful former advisor, Yzma (Eartha Kitt), who really intended to poison him, he is forced to enlist the help of a peasant named Pacha (John Goodman) to return to normal.

science-fiction TV show from the 1980s, Manimal, Simon MacCorkindale stars as Dr. Jonathan Chase, who possesses the ability to shapeshift into any animal of his choosing. He uses this power to help the police solve crimes.

wild movie fan theory suggests that this is what happened to Eddie Murphy’s character from Shrek.

movie about reincarnation, considering the main character is not resurrected into a new human body, but that of a dog. The 1995 film stars Matthew Modine as a selfish, workaholic family man who, after his untimely death, wakes up as Fluke, a dog named after his own breed, and struggles to reconnect with his family.

Batman voice actor Kevin Conroy) must show an act of love toward her, and does so by serenading her at a club.

Hocus Pocus who has it worse than Thackery Binks (played in human form by Sean Murray and later voiced by Jason Marsden). Right after they drain the youth and life from his sister, Emily (Amanda Shepherd), the Sanderson Sisters (Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy) curse the 17th-century boy with both the form of a black cat and eternal life.

A24 horror movie, Tusk, Justin Long plays an arrogant podcast host who is transformed into a walrus. Instead of by some strange witchcraft, the metamorphosis is achieved through a surgical procedure and psychological conditioning orchestrated against his will by a crazed former sailor played by Michael Parks.

horror movie classic of the same name, director Paul Schrader’s 1982 thriller Cat People stars Nastassja Kinski and Malcolm McDowell as descendants of a people who turn into panthers after engaging in steamy encounters. The only way to revert back to their human form, however, is to commit murder.

not-so-scary witch movie based on Roald Dahl’s novel, The Witches (which is still pretty traumatizing for younger audiences), young Luke Eveshim (Jasen Fisher) is caught spying on a group of malevolent spellcasters who punish him by turning him into a mouse.

underrated Nickelodeon TV show 100 Deeds for Eddie McDowd is about a young troublemaker (voiced by Seth Green), who is transformed into a dog by a mystical drifter (played by Richard Moll). Before he can return to his human form, Eddie must complete 100 redemptive tasks, with help from the last kid he bullied (played by Brandon Gilberstadt), who is also the only one he can speak to, which is why he ends up adopting him into his family.

Why Are So Many Celebrities Like Keanu Reeves And Brad Pitt Getting Robbed? An Expert Spoke Out, And The Answer Is Mind-Boggling

The importance of security and at least feeling safe at home is something that we all think about, but when one is famous it might be an even bigger concern. While anyone’s home can be broken into, celebrities are known for spending thousands on private security and top-of-the-line systems to keep their homes safe, but even with that, numerous celebs like Keanu Reeves, Brad Pitt, and Nicole Kidman have recently seen their property burglarized, and a security expert has given a mind-boggling reason for it.

Why One Security Expert Says Celebrities Are Being Robbed So Often Right Now

There are a number of unfortunate reasons that famous people are targeted for crimes, but one that we see most often is that their celeb status usually means that their homes are filled with expensive goods. In fact, the recent shocking double murder of American Idol music supervisor Robin Kaye and her husband is thought to be due to the couple coming home and encountering a thief who was already inside.

New York Post spoke with Bodyguard Group of Beverly Hills owner Kris Herzog to get an idea of why so many famous people are dealing with their houses being robbed right now, and his answer might shock you. Of the thieves, Herzog said:

horrible 2016 Paris robbery that Kim Kardashian (who recently returned to the city to testify at the trial) had to endure, but others have dealt with intruders being able to violate the privacy of their homes, which is something the Skims founder’s younger sister, Kendall Jenner has experienced more than once.

This June saw Brad Pitt’s home hit, with criminals climbing a fence and then ransacking the domicile. On Valentine’s Day, the house of Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban was broken into when an intruder broke a window to gain entry, and late 2024 saw the watches stolen from Keanu Reeves’ home the previous year found…in Chile.

While celebs are often jetting off to amazing locales for fun or work, this also means that they are away from home frequently, and leaving the protection of their valuables up to security systems doesn’t seem to be enough anymore. Apparently, a number of the “signal-jammer gangs” don’t even call the L.A. area home, but are from South America. The outlet notes that they enter the city as tourists but have pre-arranged home theft sprees, and can even steal items “to order.”

They then leave the country (having the items fenced by others) and local police usually have trouble with being able to identify them (even with fingerprints or DNA evidence), because they are from other countries. All of this has made security a lot more difficult for celebs, and Herzog believes that they are “easy targets” because “they make [bad] security decisions.” This is one reason he uses off-duty police officers to patrol his clients’ homes in uniform and “retired police cars” that still look like the real deal. He added:

Nobody is afraid of a security guard. But if there’s a police car sitting there? The bad guys say that they don’t want to get shot. And if the cop presses one button, there’s going to be 100 other cops from all different directions. Criminals don’t want to trade freedom or their lives for getting money out of a house.

So, it would seem that the best advice is to bank on real people being on hand to protect your property. Let’s hope that, at the very least, as many future crimes as possible can be stopped without tragedy striking and people getting hurt, or worse.

I Didn’t Expect Fantastic Four: First Steps’ Surprise Scene Stealer, And Now I Want More

I Didn’t Expect Fantastic Four: First Steps’ Surprise Scene Stealer, And Now I Want More

Warning: mild SPOILERS for The Fantastic Four: First Steps are in play.

We’re only one weekend into the release of the latest 2025 movie schedule offering in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and I think we already have a new MVP to rally around. Though the Fantastic Four reboot’s cast boasts some heavy hitters, there’s a supporting player I think is stealing the show.

That’s to be expected in something like the MCU, but if I’m being totally honest, I didn’t see this Oscar-nominated performer grabbing the spotlight. No, I’m not talking about the unfortunately-deleted John Malkovich, and if you’ll follow me, I’ll tell you exactly who I have in mind.

Hauser’s mysterious Fantastic Four role puzzled us all, only for it to be revealed that he was playing Harvey “Mole Man” Elder.

A legacy villain for the Fantastic Four, it appeared that he would be another villainous presence that could nurse his grudge against Reed Richards (Pedro Pascal) in a sequel-friendly manner for First Steps’ narrative. That is exactly what didn’t happen, as an attempt to steal the Pan Am Building led to Sue Storm (Vanessa Kirby) negotiating for Harvey Elder to have his own piece of Earth-828 known as “Subterranea.”

Without spoilers, the Richard Jewell star is then asked back later in the narrative to help save the world – but not before making Mr. Fantastic beg him for assistance. Trust me, it’s a moment that has broken every audience I’ve seen this movie with into laughter, and it’s a feat worthy of a just reward.

Harvey Elder’s Redefined Role Deserves A Fantastic Four Spinoff

A character like that deserves a reward for not taking the easy way out. Just as Paul Walter Hauser’s character balances out Galactus (Ralph Ineson) and his true purpose in this universe, some sort of project that gives us more of his attitude on display could help spruce up the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

This reformed antagonist, who has a relatable goal and a decent-enough relationship with Johnny Storm (Joseph Quinn) to mock his wardrobe, never fails to get a laugh when he’s on screen. So getting into how Harvey Elder’s rejection of Reed Richards’ quest for progress actually got started is well worth the time.

Yes, we’re moving away from a time where Disney+ subscription holders are presented with projects that cash in on those MCU characters we know and love. It’s a shame that this is the case, because Paul Walter Hauser getting his own Subterranea-based series could make for a stirring dramedy.

We don’t really get to learn more about Harvey and the Moloids that dwell in this world, and any excuse to give Mr. Hauser some more screen time is a good thing. For now, I guess I’ll just have to be satisfied with what we’ve been given to work with in the current theatrical cut. Maybe The Fantastic Four’s opening weekend success will lead to a sequel where we examine Subterranea even more.

Though if you’re a Paul Walter Hauser fan who wants to see him flex those comedy muscles sooner than later, the man will be co-starring with Liam Neeson in this weekend’s The Naked Gun. So like Reed Richards volunteering for wardrobe duty at the Future Foundation’s latest fashion show, you’ll need to hang on just a little longer.

Michael C. Hall Has Seen Your Dexter Ending Complaints, And He Knows Exactly How You Feel About That ‘Very Unsatisfying’ Finale

Michael C. Hall Has Seen Your Dexter Ending Complaints, And He Knows Exactly How You Feel About That ‘Very Unsatisfying’ Finale

Michael C. Hall and the creative minds behind the Dexter franchise tried to end the eponymous serial killer’s story twice. So the fact that Dexter: Resurrection is now airing on Showtime and streaming for Paramount+ subscription holders illustrates how successful the IP is. As the franchise continues to garner buzz, Hall reveals that he’s aware of the fans’ reactions to the ending of the original series as well as New Blood‘s conclusion. With that, the star isn’t holding back his thoughts.

Amid Resurrection’s run (which comes with a star-studded cast and a “killer” storyline), Hall talked to Screen Rant about the endings to Dexter and Dexter: New Blood. The end of the OG show saw the lead character living in seclusion as a lumberjack. When fans didn’t like that development, the writers tried to shift gears by having Dexter die after being shot by his son, Harrison. When Hall made reference to both of those endings in his recent interview, he talked about why neither seemed to work the way he and his collaborators hoped:

I think it was a unifying, no, sorry, go on. No, no, no, no. It was very, very unsatisfying. It made narrative sense that he went into self-imposed exile, but that’s not what anybody wanted to see. Or it is certainly not how they wanted anything to end, and then it was tough to see him apparently taken out by his son as well.

which will be returning for Season 2.

2025 TV schedule closes out, it does seem that Paramount is committed to making stories about the droll serial killer. There could very likely be a point at which Dexter comes to an end, but that time certainly isn’t now.

As a fan, my big takeaway from Michael C. Hall’s comments is that it doesn’t seem the ride is coming to an end anytime soon. At least, that’s what I want to believe, though I think Angel Batista is hot on the tail of his former friend and potentially looking to deliver justice to the real Bay Harbor Butcher.

Of course, Dexter has to end at some point, and the producers already failed when crafting an ending in which he escapes and another one where he dies. The OG series is still great regardless of its controversial conclusion, and I think the last thing many fans want to see is a world in which Dexter overstays his welcome. It all has to end at some point, so let’s just hope that when it’s time, there’s an ending that’s worthy of this blood-soaked saga.

Dexter: Resurrection airs on Showtime on Sundays at 8:00 p.m. ET, but those with Paramount+ can watch the new episodes beginning on Friday. Of course, they can also enjoy the original series, which to still regarded as one of the best TV shows to ever air on TV, regardless of its ending.
