The Morning Show’s Showrunner Explains Why That Surprise Return Happened In Season 4

Spoilers ahead for the most recent episode of The Morning Show.

Every streaming service has its own hits, and one of the best Apple TV+ shows out there is definitely The Morning Show. Those with an Apple TV+ subscription have been treated to Season 4, and it’s been a wild ride so far. Longtime fans of the show were shocked when the third episode “Tipping Point” featured Bel Powley’s return as Claire Conway. And now the showrunner has explained why this return made sense for this season’s story.

how to watch The Morning Show Season 4, I had seen the third episode early, prior to interviewing the cast. Keeping quiet on Claire’s return was hard, because I was so happy to see this loose end brought back. Showrunner Charlotte Stoudt spoke with Deadline about how this came about, revealing:

The Morning Show Season 4, Reese Witherspoon’s Bradley Jackson was contacted by an anonymous source with information about a cover up at UBA going back years. In episode three it was revealed to be Claire, who was using her family money to work with the Extinction Revolt. Later in the same interview, Stoudt explained why this made narrative sense, sharing:

We thought, ’Well, wow, what if she had joined one of those groups because she hadn’t gotten justice for Hannah? What if she was still trying to burn all the institutions down? What if she came into our lives again in that way?’ So she was the perfect carrier for this cover-up story that we wanted to be the centerpiece of the season.

I personally loved seeing Claire back after all this time, and thought it was a great payoff for fans who had watched The Morning Show since back in Season 1. So while newcomer Marion Cotillard joined the cast in Season 4, the show also has ties to its original roots. Only time will tell how this ultimately shakes out this season.

The Morning Show airs new episodes Wednesdays on Apple TV+ as part of the 2025 TV schedule. And with the show’s penchant for covering real-life issues, smart money says the fourth season is going to have plenty of viral moments.

We’ve Got A Blank Space, Swifties: Fill In The Missing Words In Our Taylor Swift Lyrics Crossword Puzzle

With The Life of a Showgirl‘s release mere hours away, I know I’m not the only Swiftie counting down until Taylor Swift’s 12th studio album release. So naturally, this week’s quiz had to be Taylor Swift themed, and here’s how it works: Fill in the missing word or phrase for the lyric provided in each clue. Song titles are included with the clues to help you out. And as you may notice, I’ve included one song from every album through The Tortured Poets Department. I also include a song from TTPD: The Anthology, and because I didn’t want to leave the re-recordings out, there’s one Taylor’s Version song included, to bring the number of clues to a nice, round 13.

Have at it, Swifties!

“What are the odds of that, right? We deeply apologize for any inconvenience we may have caused.” Wow. Another remarkably clever, ingeniously shot new short film from filmmaker Jon Walkup. After recently premiering at a film festival, the 5-minute short is now available online to watch below. A Minute on Each Side is about James making a microwave burrito for dinner. But there is a bit more to it than that… Here’s the intro: A man’s life falls apart in the time it takes to microwave a burrito. Starring Jake Lewis as James, and director Jon Walkup as the voice on the other end of the phone. It’s also the winner of an Audience Award from the 2025 Nashville Film Festival. Walkup also produced a few other worth watching shorts The Cowboy & The Samurai and Such Good Friends which we’ve featured, and he directed Big Fun. He’s getting better and better with every new film he makes. And this is another impressive dark comedy – watch below.

A Minute on Each Side - Short Film

Thanks to Jon for the tip on this film debuting online. Brief intro via YouTube: “In this comedy-thriller, a man’s life falls apart in real time while a frozen burrito cooks in the microwave. Shot in a single five-minute take from inside the microwave, the film turns an everyday convenience into a front-row seat to a personal nightmare.” A Minute on Each Side is directed by up-and-coming indie filmmaker Jon Walkup, director of many other short films & music videos (producer on The Cowboy & The Samurai, Such Good Friends), as well as his first feature Big Fun a few years ago. You can also follow him on IG @jonwalkup. Written by Jon Walkup & Bri Klaproth. Produced by Bri Klaproth, Rachel Rambaldi, Jon Walkup. With cinematography by Cooper Shine. Aaron Eckhart & His Police Dog in ‘Muzzle: City of Wolves’ Full Trailer

“You messed with the cartel’s business… Now they’re coming for you.” “I’m ready.” Unleash the hound(s)! RLJE Films has revealed the official trailer for a movie called Muzzle: City of Wolves, a surprise sequel to the movie Muzzle from 2023. Did anyone know about this? Did anyone even watch that original movie? Muzzle: City of Wolves is a direct sequel – introducing a new dog named Argos as his partner. Haunted ex-K-9 officer Jake’s peaceful life is shattered when a gang brutally attacks his family. With his new K-9 partner Argos, he uncovers a drug ring, confronts corrupt officials involved in it, and fights inner demons all the while pursuing the criminals. Of course he does! A sequel to 2023’s Muzzle, the action-thriller stars Aaron Eckhart, Tanya van Graan, and Karl Thaning. Directed again by John Stalberg Jr., opening in theaters this November. At least the doggie in this looks like he’s a real champion. But the rest? Exceptionally cliche.

‘Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair’ to Hit Theaters

Preview:

  • ‘Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair’ will finally hit screens.
  • Filmmaker Quentin Tarantino has worked with Lionsgate on the new version.
  • The combined movie experience lands in December.

It has taken more than 20 years, but the two ‘Kill Bill’ movies made by writer/director Quentin Tarantino are finally landing in theaters the way the filmmaker intended –– as one big film called ‘Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair’.

While the combined version has been seen on home entertainment formats and the occasional speciality screening, this is its first wide theatrical release, via Lionsgate, which will include a seven-minute animated segment not included in the prior cinema outings of Volume 1 and Volume 2 back in 2003 and 2004.

Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair

“One by Bloody one she Dealt Death…”

This was what Tarantino had to say about the new opportunity:

“I wrote and directed it as one movie—and I’m so glad to give the fans the chance to see it as one movie. The best way to see ‘Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair’ is at a movie theater in Glorious 70mm or 35mm. Blood and guts on a big screen in all its glory!”

What’s the story of the ‘Kill Bill’ movies?

Uma Thurman stars as The Bride, left for dead after her former boss and lover, Bill, ambushes her wedding rehearsal, shooting her in the head and stealing her unborn child.

To exact her vengeance, she must first hunt down the four remaining members of the Deadly Viper Assassination Squad before confronting Bill himself. With its operatic scope, relentless action, and iconic style, ‘The Whole Bloody Affair’ stands as one of cinema’s definitive revenge sagas — rarely shown in its complete form and now presented with a classic intermission.

While the filmmaker is still making decisions about his cinematic future –– he scrapped one planned movie, ‘The Movie Critic’ and is considering other options including stage work and novels –– his cinematic universe rolls on.

David Fincher has been busy directing ‘The Adventures of Cliff Booth’, which follows Brad Pitt’s character from ‘Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood’ on a new story. It boasts a script from Tarantino and marks the first time someone else has brought his characters to screens.

When will ‘Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair’ burst onto screens?

The combined ‘Kill Bill’ will be in theaters from December 5th.

A Fatal Trip to a Remote Island – Justin Lin’s ‘Last Days’ Official Trailer

“All they want is to be who they are, yet the world is determined go there and destroy them!” Yep! She’s right. Vertical has unveiled their official trailer for a movie titled Last Days, the first non-Fast & Furious movie directed by filmmaker Justin Lin in a while. The film premiered at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival earlier this year and will be out to watch coming soon this fall. The film tells the story of John Allen Chau, an idealistic missionary wanting to make contact with the “Sentinelese”, an isolated tribe living on North Sentinel Island in the Indian Ocean. It’s the same story told in the doc film The Mission, which everyone is familiar with because he was killed by this island tribe at the shore. A 26-year-old missionary journeys to the remote North Sentinel Island, determined to convert an isolated tribe, while the authorities attempt to intervene before potential harm occurs. Starring Sky Yang as John Allen Chau, with Radhika Apte, Ken Leung, Naveen Andrews, Toby Wallace, and Ciara Bravo. This movie looks like it glorifies this kid way too much, when in reality, he was just a dangerous idiot who had no valid reason to go there. Oh well…
