Teaser for Netflix’s ‘Squid Game’ Season 3 Brings Even More Mystery

“It’s time to play one last time…” Here we go again! Netflix has unveiled the teaser trailer for Squid Game 3, the third (and final!!) season of the hit Korean thriller series Squid Game from 2021. The second season debuted last December though it’s just half of a story – Netflix decided to split it up and play it out across these two final seasons. Squid Game 3 drops on Netflix worldwide in June this summer. Hundreds of cash-strapped players accept a strange invitation to play a series of games. A very tempting cash prize awaits with deadly high stakes: a whopping ₩45.6 billion prize for whoever can stay alive until the end. Director Hwang Dong-hyuk writes and directs and seems poised to hit us hard at the end. Squid Game 3’s cast features Lee Jung-jae as 456, Lee Byung-hun as The Front Man, Yim Si-wan, Kang Ha-neul, Wi Ha-jun, Park Gyu-young, Park Sung-hoon, Yang Dong-geun, Kang Ae-sim, Jo Yuri, Lee David, Roh Jae-won. After the brutal second season, where 456 had trouble changing anyone’s mind, will they finally really end this vicious game? Or will it go on forever? This is a rather chilling no-dialogue teaser. I can’t wait to watch!

Here’s the first teaser trailer for Hwang Dong-hyuk’s Squid Game – Season 3, from Netflix’s YouTube:

Squid Game 3 Teaser Poster

The third and final season of Squid Game follows Gi-hun aka “456” (Lee Jung-jae) after losing his best friend in the game and being driven to utter despair by The Front Man (Lee Byung-hun), who was hiding his true identity to infiltrate the game. Gi-hun persists with his goal to put an end to the game, while the Front Man continues onto his next move. The surviving players’ choices will lead to graver consequences with each round. The world eagerly awaits to see the grand finale written and directed by Hwang Dong-hyuk, who vowed to bring the epic story to its deserved closure once & for all. Can we hope for humanity in the cruelest of realities? Fans all over the world are counting the days until the final answer is revealed.

Squid Game is a series all created and written and directed by Korean filmmaker Hwang Dong-hyuk, also director of the films My Father, Silenced, Miss Granny, The Fortress, plus Season 1 of Squid Game, which also won him an Emmy for Outstanding Directing. Produced by Firstman Studio in Korea. The first season premiered on Netflix in September 2021 and the second season debuted streaming last December. Executive produced by Kim Ji-yeon, Hwang Dong-hyuk. Netflix will be debuting Squid Game – Season 3 streaming on Netflix worldwide starting June 27th, 2025 coming up this summer. Ready to watch? How will it all end?

Freaky Full Trailer for ‘Together’ Horror with Alison Brie & Dave Franco

“We spend our lives in search of the other half… if you think you found that, don’t be so quick to let it go.” Neon has unveiled the full official trailer for Together, the ingenious body horror comedy from Australian filmmaker Michael Shanks (of Rebooted) that pretty much everyone is flipping for. This first premiered to rave reviews at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival in January – I loved it (my review) and listed it as one of my favorite films of the fest. It then played at SXSW and earned even more great reviews there. In this horror, a couple’s move to the countryside triggers a supernatural incident that drastically alters their relationship, existence, and physical form. Join them. Alison Brie and Dave Franco, a real life couple, also star as a couple in this bonkers new film that’ll make you scream. Plus Damon Herriman, Sunny S. Walia, Jack Kenny, and Mia Morrissey. This movie is one of the best horrors of 2025! You will WANT to see this in a theater with audiences screaming & squirming as it all plays out. It’s brilliant! Playing theaters this August.

Here’s the full official trailer (+ poster) for Michael Shank’s horror film Together, direct from YouTube:

Haunted Warship Argentinian Horror ‘Eyes of the Abyss’ Promo Trailer

Black Mandala Films has revealed an official trailer for an indie horror film titled Eyes of the Abyss, an Argentinian horror thriller set on the water. This early promo trailer is being released now to build up buzz for the film’s sale at the 2025 Cannes Market this month. “On a warship laden with corpses and threatening to sink, the film explores the suffering of those caught between life and death, with bold visual aesthetics and a fragmented narrative that defies the conventions of the genre.” 1982, set in the South Atlantic (during the Falklands War). A soldier wakes up aboard a warship surrounded by corpses until soldiers storm the ship, and she must strike with lethal precision in a desperate fight for survival. “Who will dare to face the Eyes of the Abyss?” Starring Verónica Intile, with Carolina Alfonsín, Kevin Schiele, Raymond Lee, Cristian Mariani, Pablo Turturiello, Gustavo Pardi, Pedro Rissi, Ezequiel Gelbaum, and Guido Botta. This looks like an old school horror movie straight from the 80s with miniatures & smoke-filled sets.

New Trailer/Poster for Bertolucci’s ‘Little Buddha’ Film 4K Restoration

“An extraordinary story about an incredible adventure.” Kino Lorber has unveiled a brand new poster for the new 4K restoration re-release of the beloved 90s religious movie Little Buddha about reincarnation. Directed by Italian maestro Bernardo Bertolucci, the film originally opened in the US in the summer of 1994. Restored in 4K by Cinecitta from the separation masters under the supervision of Vittorio Storaro. After the death of Lama Dorje, Tibetan Buddhist monks find 3 children – one American and two Nepalese – who may be the rebirth of their great teacher. The American boy travels to Bhutan to meet the monks and learn more about Buddhism and its history. “Magical, mind-broadening entertainment.” Starring Keanu Reeves as Siddhartha (the original Buddha), with Ying Ruocheng, Raju Lal, Greishma Makar Singh, Chris Isaak, Alex Wiesendanger, and Bridget Fonda. The movie only has 64% on RT now, but Gene Siskel gave it a positive review – writing: “In a quiet way, this gorgeous movies accomplishes many things.” Keanu looks like the craziest part about this! The rest of it seems very peaceful and spiritual. This trailer is the original version featuring the old voiceover they used to use all the time in the 90s. Still love that voice.

Here’s the 4K restoration trailer (+ poster) for Bernardo Bertolucci’s film Little Buddha, from YouTube:

Little Buddah Film

Little Buddha Poster

Drawing on Buddhist history to weave a metaphor about the tragedy of Tibetans in exile, Little Buddha is Bertolucci’s stunning follow-up to The Sheltering Sky. In this religious tour-de-fource, a Buddhist monk, Lama Norbu (Ying Ruocheng), believes that a 10-year-old American boy, Jesse (Alex Wiesendanger), is the reincarnation of his spiritual teacher, Lama Dorje. Jesse’s father, Dean (Chris Isaak), and mother, Lisa (Bridget Fonda), are skeptical, but following his business partner’s suicide, a transformed Dean relents and allows his son to travel to Bhutan. However, there are two other children whom the monk thinks may also be the reincarnation of Lama Dorje. Featuring Keanu Reeves as Siddhartha. Little Buddha is directed by Italian filmmaker Bernardo Bertolucci – his 12th film at the time just after The Sheltering Sky (1990) and before making Stealing Beauty (1996). The screenplay is by Rudy Wurlitzer and Mark Peploe; from a story by Bertolucci. Produced by Jeremy Thomas. This initially opened in Europe in December 1993, before opening in US theaters in May 1994. Kino Lorber will re-release Bertolucci’s Little Buddha in 4K in select US theaters starting May 9th, 2025 – playing in more cities this summer. For details visit their official site.
