It was quite the surprise — amid talks that Kelly Clarkson might be considering leaving her talk show — to hear that the singer would be returning to The Voice for its 29th season next spring. The American Idol champ left the singing competition in 2023 when she moved production of The Kelly Clarkson Show to New York. So, while there are understandably concerns about what this news means for the talk show, her friends are also reportedly concerned about Clarkson herself.
Kelly Clarkson has spoken candidly (and in some people’s opinion too candidly) about how demanding her talk show’s schedule is. Now, according to Star, adding The Voice: Battle of Champions is only going to add more stress to her plate, and “the feeling is she’s taking on too much.” The source continued:
It’s astonishing to friends that she’s taken this offer. Of course, The Voice is a favorite of hers and it’ll be fun, but people would have preferred for her to pass on it, take a break, be with family and stop worrying about money and putting herself in the spotlight.
2025 TV schedule this fall with coaches Reba McEntire, Snoop Dogg, Niall Horan and Michael Bublé. Kelly Clarkson’s comeback season will premiere in February 2026 and feature fellow coaching icons Adam Levine and John Legend.
canceled the first two shows at the last minute earlier this month — and has one season left on her contract for The Kelly Clarkson Show, which will return in the fall. Clarkson’s friends allegedly think it’s all too much and say she’s “completely burning out and running on fumes.” They said:
She hasn’t pulled the plug on her talk show, but bosses want her to stay despite their differences, and conferences are in the works. She’s juggling so many balls at once.
Other sources had previously suggested that she may be looking to shift the focus of her career back to music but that she’s not rushing into any decisions.
Concern for the single mom of two began earlier this year, when she missed several tapings of The Kelly Clarkson Show due to a “private matter.” There were also rumors of problems behind the scenes, as the host allegedly expressed a desire to spend more time with her kids.
This makes taking on another venture especially confusing, but with The Voice production and her residency underway — and possibly talks about whether or not to continue her stint on daytime TV — all we can do is wait to see what happens and hope she heeds her friends’ alleged warnings.

We’ll have to wait a bit until we can see Kelly Clarkson return as a coach on The Voice, but fans are already excited to see Niall Horan reunite with Reba McEntire on Season 28 this fall. No premiere date has been announced, but episodes will air on NBC and be available to stream the next day with a Peacock subscription.
Time is a cruel mistress, want proof? Look no further than Ryan Reynolds’ social media. Reynolds recently celebrate the ten-year anniversary of the first entry in his popular R-rated Marvel movie franchisewith an awesome video. Now, though, the man who portrays the Merc with a Mouth on the big screen is marking the first anniversary of the release of Deadpool & Wolverine (which is available to stream with a Disney+ subscription). And Reynolds marked the occasion in a truly sweet way.
Ryan Reynolds took to his Instagram stories to share an incredible BTS image of the wonderful actors and actresses who made up the many cameos in Deadpool 3. The picture, which you can see below, includes Hugh Jackman, Channing Tatum, Wesley Snipes, Jennifer Garner, Dafne Keen (who are all in full costume) and of course, the film’s director, Shawn Levy. Check it out:

It’s wild to think it’s already been a year since Wade Wilson and Logan hit theaters and broke the box office, especially after all the time it took for a third Deadpool movie to be produced by Marvel Studios. When Disney acquired 20th Century Fox and all its properties, it finally paved the way for Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool to join the fun. However, it still took years before fans got to see Deady-Pool and Wolvie on screen together and, when it finally happened, it became a major success.
ranked amongst the worst of the X-Men movies. Then there was the leaked test footage of Deadpool, the origin of which remains unknown, not even to Kevin Feige. Now, ten years later, all three Deadpool movies have been hits with critics and audiences alike. The latest one is the top earner of the bunch, raking in over $1.3 billion worldwide amid its theatrical run in 2024.
Prior to its release, Deadpool & Wolverine was one of the most hottly anticipated upcoming Marvel movies destined for theaters. Now, a year out from its release, it remains one of the better Marvel Cinematic Universe entries amid the Multiverse Saga. Also, based on Ryan Reynolds’ behind-the-scenes pic, it seems the fun wasn’t just on the screen, but was on set as well.
All three Deadpool movies are now streaming on Disney+, and the newest MCU flick, The Fantastic Four: First Steps, is now playing and is one of the biggest titles on the 2025 movie schedule.
There are so many great upcoming book-to-screen adaptations that we’re excited for, but I’m all about Sunrise on the Reaping. There are many we could point to, such as the anticipated Fourth Wing TV series or the upcoming adaptation of The Housemaid. Still, I am so ready to return to the world of Panem for a fifth time, especially since I absolutely loved reading the novel.
As someone who loves The Hunger Games movies, there have been plenty of changes with the franchise over the last 10+ years. Gary Ross directed the first film, while Francis Lawrence directed the subsequent ones. With that in mind, there have been some changes in filmmaking, which, for the most part, are for the better. However, for Sunrise on the Reaping, I actually want the director to possibly return to a style that most fans of the first film didn’t like…hear me out.

I Want Them To Experiment With Shaky-Cam Again
moments from Sunrise on the Reapingthat I can’t wait to see brought to life in the adaptation, some great and some…pretty freaking sad. I actually think using shaky cam just a little bit would add a lot of depth to Haymitch’s emotions, more so than ever before.
Haymitch, throughout the book, is going through a lot. He’s dealing with leaving not only his family behind, but the girl he loves back in District 12, trying to find some way to survive, while also finding ways to politely stick the middle finger up at the Capitol without directly saying it.
At the same time, he’s also running from a lot of people trying to kill him. I think that using a shaky camera in certain moments would effectively convey his desperation, perhaps during the climax of the game, when he wins, or possibly when one of his allies is getting hurt.

Using that to truly convey how he’s feeling, rather than just cursing and running towards whatever is going on, will make for a great story. If done right, it can land.
The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping cast comprises some of the best casting decisions I have seen for a film in a long time, and the story writes itself. This movie is meant to be a success.
Now, all we have to do is wait for the film’s release, which is scheduled for 2026. Can I make a year pass more quickly?
CBS and its parent company, Paramount Global, have been making headlines for a few reasons lately. Weeks ago, the network announced the cancellation of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, while Paramount aimed to finalize its merger with Skydance. All the while, execs were engaged in a back-and-forth over the streaming rights to South Park. While that situation was resolved, another one arose when the animated show skewered U.S. President Donald Trump. Colbert responded to the episode, too, and didn’t hold back.
What Happened On South Park And How Did Stephen Colbert React?
The delayed Season 27 premiere of South Park sees the eponymous town protesting the presence of Jesus in local schools, leading to the townspeople being sued by a caricature of President Trump for $5 billion. Amid the situation, the Jesus character makes reference to a lawsuit involving Paramount (as the company just settled a $16 million suit with Trump in real life). Jesus eventually warns the townspeople about not suffering a fate similar to the one “Colbert” faced at CBS, saying that “you guys got to stop being stupid.”
The White House eventually responded to the episode, expressing significant disapproval of it. Stephen Colbert reacted to the episode on his show while talking about Trump’s executive order to de-regulate AI, with the host saying:
YouTube). Said code linked to a site called HeTrumpedUs.com, which featured the clip. All in all, this marks yet another instance in which the Late Show host has mocked the President and by extension, his employers.
What’s Been Going On With The Late Show Amid The Cancellation Drama?
The Late Show’s cancellation was announced earlier this month, and Stephen Colbert himself addressed it while on air as well. CBS said the show was to be canceled due to “financial” reasons. However, some insiders and public figures have questioned the timing of the decision. The cancellation was announced after Colbert criticized the network for settling the lawsuit with President Trump. Also, the suit was viewed by analysts as the last obstacle preventing Paramount Global from finalizing its merger with Skydance.
Since then, reactions from Jimmy Kimmel, Bowen Yang and more have surfaced, with many celebrities expressing disappointment of the cancellation of the long-running talk show. The series’ OG host, David Letterman, responded as well as did one of his former producers, with both expressing skepticism over the true reasoning for the decision. Andy Cohen also believes the network is “cooked” as a result of its decision to conclude the program in May 2026.
All the while, Stephen Colbert hasn’t held back in chastising his employers or the U.S. president. It’s been alleged that execs aren’t happy with Colbert’s comments and are also concerned about him possibly divulging unflattering information about the company. That aside, it’s said that the Late Night crew is disappointed by the demise of the show. As the 2025 TV schedule pushes on, the public will have to wait and see whether Colbert and South Park continue to take jabs at their employers and/or President Trump.
Happy Gilmore 2 just dropped on Netflix, and while it’s probably not going to win any Oscars, most fans seem to be really pleased with the sequel, me included. It’s a goofy good time with some big laughs and a ton of cameos and returning characters. It also includes one big WTF death scene that left me and the actress involved absolutely shocked.
Before we get into that though, we need a big fat spoiler warning here. If you haven’t watched Happy Gilmore 2 yet, there’s no reason you should be reading this article. Just go watch it right now. It’s free to stream on Netflix, and it’s absolutely worth two hours of your time if you care about the first movie at all.
People…
When I found out that I was killed on page 12, I started laughing. I was on vacation with my family, and I had no wifi. I could barely read this thing. I only had my phone, and I was like, ‘Am I seeing this right’? Trying to blow it up. And I was like, ‘Oh, yeah, I’m dead. And (Happy) kills me. ‘Then I just started laughing. I just started laughing and laughing.
I suspect a lot of fans watching the movie reacted with shocked laughter. Social media was filled with WTF tweets from viewers who did not see the moment coming at all when they first watched it. I was among them, but the more I think about it, the more I’m totally fine with the decision. Virginia is obviously a great character and it’s tough to lose her, but Happy Gilmore is all about our lead character losing his cool. His wife is the only person who is able to calm him down, which is why losing her is such a good catalyst for bad behavior.

Bowen was ultimately fine with the decision too, which she told Sandler immediately after reading it. The two connected during her vacation, and she gave an enthusiastic thumbs up…
Adam was trying to get through to me. I was on island with no wifi and barely any cell, and we finally connected. I go, ‘I don’t care. It’s great. Happy can’t be happy.’
You have to give Bowen credit for really committing to the whole thing here too. She came back and did a lot of press, as if she was a main star in the entire movie. She even talked repeatedly about how pleased she was to be invited back. Normally actors don’t do press if they only return for a small role. I’m glad she did though, because had she not, we all would have been wondering what was going on with Virginia, which would have made the moment less impactful.
