Will Blake Shelton And Adam Levine Ever Reunite On The Voice? The Latest Tea On NBC, Major Money, And Their Bromance

The Voice Season 28 will be premiering on the 2025 TV schedule this fall on NBC, but it will once again be without Adam Levine. The Maroon 5 frontman returned to the singing competition series for Season 27 after departing ahead of Season 17. However, don’t worry, he is returning as a coach on The Voice for Season 29. So, this makes me wonder: Could Blake Shelton, whose final season was in 2023, return at some point, too? Well, we might not have solid answers yet, but there is tea on the conversations allegedly being had about this topic.

Shelton and Levine became a fan-favorite duo on The Voice, and their bromance was certainly a highlight each season. They love their shenanigans probably almost as much as the fans love it, and even Levine was still taking shots at Shelton when he returned last season. Now, with the “Maps” singer returning once again, an insider told The U.S. Sun that producers tried to get the country singer back on board as well:

They offered both Blake and Adam more money, a lot more, to get them back together and do a season together. Obviously, it didn’t work out for Season 28, but stay tuned, it might happen sooner than later.

Kelsea Ballerini replaced Shelton as Levine’s rival last season, it was unexpected, but hilarious to watch. Now, with the “Payphone” singer appearing on Season 29 with John Legend and Kelly Clarkson, it should make for a fun season since they’re all long-time coaches. But a part of me will always want Blake Shelton to be there, too.

Even though the “God’s Country” singer won’t be returning to The Voice as a coach anytime soon, there’s still the possibility he could make an appearance during Season 29. The Voice is getting a revamp for its upcoming season as it will see only three coaches competing and 30 total contestants going to the battle rounds, which will also bring back previous fan-favorites and former coaches such as Cee Lo Green. There are also probably other surprises in store, and one can only hope that Blake Shelton is one of them.

Whatever happens in future seasons of The Voice, it undoubtedly will be hard to recreate the bromance between Shelton and Adam Levine. So, I really hope that NBC manages to bring them back together again, even if it is for just one season.

The following article contains minor spoilers for Happy Gilmore 2. If you haven’t seen it, you can check out the sequel with a Netflix subscription.

The 2025 Netflix schedule has been packed with hits, but one that many were eagerly anticipating was Happy Gilmore 2, the long-awaited sequel to one of the funniest sports comedies of all time. Famous wrestler Maxwell Jacob Friedman (otherwise known as MJF) played one of Happy’s sons, Gordie, but the AEW star admitted his love of Sandler goes way back, to the point where he’d willingly tag up with the comedian in the ring.

Adam Sandler’s best movies. With the release of the sequel, I knew I had to ask the wrestler if, as a sports star, he had ever been influenced by Happy Gilmore in his acting ability outside of the ring. Friedman said that not only has Happy Gilmore inspired him, but most of Adam Sandler’s films have:

a slick-haired Travis Kelce and several major PGA stars, such as John Daly, Jack Nicklaus and more. There’s just something about the idea of Sandler in a wrestling ring that I would love.

It also helps that MJF, as well as his co-stars Ethan Cutkosky, Philip Fine Schneider and Conor Sherry, really feel like part of Happy’s family in this. Happy Gilmore 2 is a triumph of a return to the character. While there were plenty of moments that featured memorials for past characters (and actors), the addition of his family and everyone else made it so much more enjoyable. That included MJF as the eldest of the Gilmore Boys, especially when they were freaking out whenever Happy achieved a hole-in-one.

I would have given anything for Chubbs to meet these boys and see just how much like their dad they were. While Carl Weathers as Chubbs is missed, it Happy’s life was filled with family, and now, there’s a chance where he could even compete with his on-screen son in a wrestling match. I need to know when I can watch this possible dream team.

“Battlestar Galactica” was high-concept and complex. It took place far from Earth, at the end of humanity’s millennium-long war with a species of robots called the Cylons. The Cylons themselves were built by a long-extinct race of humanoid reptiles, and they seem poised to offer the same fate to humankind. Feeling that the writing was on the wall, a human named Count Baltar (John Colicos) betrayed humanity by siding with the Cylons, putting the robots hot on the trail of the Battlestar Galactica, a massive starship carrying most of the galaxy’s last-known humans. Their goal is to find a long-lost “thirteenth tribe,” a human colony that was said to have settled on a distant planet called Earth.

The assumption for viewers was that “Battlestar Galactica” was set in the distant future, but at the end of the 24th episode of its only season, it was revealed — via TV footage of the moon landing — that it was actually set in Earth’s 20th century. A follow-up series, “Galactica 1980,” was set in, well, 1980. The original series’ two-hour pilot was released theatrically. In 2004, the series was rebooted again, this time to much more acclaim and success. The 2004 version ran for 76 episodes over four seasons and led to a prequel spinoff called “Caprica.” If you want to hear a nerd talk for three straight hours, ask them about the 2004 “Battlestar Galactica.”

Several cast members of the original “Battlestar Galactica” cast — that is, the ones that appeared in all 24 episodes — are still with us. Here’s what they’ve done since the series ended.

Dirk Benedict (Lieutenant Starbuck)

The handsome Dirk Benedict played the roguish Lieutenant Starbuck in the original “Battlestar Galactica,” one of two Han Solo types in the series (the other was Captain Apollo, played by the late Richard Hatch). He was the drinker/gambler/smoker of the series and the show’s most lighthearted character.

Benedict was, of course, a mainstay in 1970s and 1980s television, having appeared in many of the hit shows of the day, including “Hawaii Five-O,” “Charlie’s Angels,” and “The Love Boat.” Prior to “Battlestar,” Benedict was one of the main cast members in the short-lived action series “Chopper One,” and would go on to play the dash-handsome Templeton “Faceman” Peck in the ultra-popular “The A-Team.” He would also turn up on “Murder, She Wrote,” “Baywatch,” and “Walker, Texas Ranger.” There is a 100% chance you’ve seen Benedict in something.

Benedict has stayed connected to his two biggest roles, lending his voice to a “Battlestar Galactica” video game in 2003 and providing a cameo for the 2010 “The A-Team” feature film. Prior to “Battlestar,” Benedict appeared in a few exciting B-movies, including the Twiggy thriller “W” and the reptile flick “Sssssss.”

Noah Hathaway (Boxey)

The youngest member of the original “Battlestar Galactica” cast was Noah Hathaway, who played Boxey and served as the face of the children on the Galactica. Boxey was often seen playing with his semi-furry, semi-metallic robot dog, Muffit. Muffit was played by a chimpanzee named Evolution, a.k.a. Evie. Sadly, Evie passed away in 2004 at the age of 34, but Hathaway is still alive and kicking.

Hathaway is also known to Gen-Xers the world over as Atreyu, the young adventurer from Wolfgang Petersen’s 1984 fantasy film “The NeverEnding Story.” He also played a character named Harry Potter (seriously) in the notorious 1986 horror movie “Troll.” In the mid-’80s, Hathaway more or less left acting to pursue his education, where he briefly studied dance before suffering an injury. He would move into the study of martial arts, and Hathaway is now learned in various schools and techniques of karate and Muay Thai boxing. He’ll also likely be able to fix your motorcycle for you, as he regularly builds and races his own.

Hathaway has turned up in movies since the 1980s, appearing in the 2012 cult film “Sushi Girl” and the 2018 Walter Koenig film “Blue Dream.” He also still turns up at conventions to sign autographs.

Herbert Jefferson, Jr. (Lieutenant Boomer)

The capable Viper pilot Lieutenant Boomer was Starbuck’s best friend and stood as the logical, more pragmatic balance to the well-known party boy. Boomer was played by actor Herbert Jefferson, Jr. The story goes that Jefferson was offered the role of Boomer after the producers’ first choice, Terry Carter, was injured in a freak roller skating accident. By happenstance, Carter was also cast in “Battlestar Galactica,” but as Colonel Tigh.

Both Jefferson and Dirk Benedict would reprise their roles for “Galactica 1980.”

Jefferson had a modest acting career, having appeared in the pilot for “Airwolf” as the captain of the U.S.S. Enterprise (the aircraft carrier, not the starship). He was also in the pilot for the hit series “Knight Rider.” Before “Battlestar,” Jefferson appeared in several Emmy-nominated miniseries, such as “Rich Man, Poor Man” and the 1974 TV movie “The Law” starring Judd Hirsch. Later, Jefferson appeared in two films, the 1995 Oscar-nominated hit “Apollo 13” and the virus blockbuster “Outbreak.”

Incidentally, “Outbreak” was directed by Wolfgang Petersen, the director of “The NeverEnding Story.” One likes to think that Jefferson and Hathway traded stories about their old boss.

Maren Jensen (2nd Lieutenant Athena)

2nd Lieutenant Athena was the sister of Apollo (the late Richard Hatch) and the daughter of Adama. She oversaw a scanner on the Galactica. She was played by actress and model Maren Jensen.

Jensen didn’t have a massively prolific acting career, having shown up only in single episodes of “The Love Boat,” “Fantasy Island,” and “The Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew Mysteries.” She also appeared in the thriller “Beyond the Reef” and Wes Craven’s 1981 horror film “Deadly Blessing.” After that, she retired from acting, having contracted Epstein-Barr Virus.

Jensen would go on to create her own cosmetics line, Stila Cosmetics, which is currently available at Sephora. Just a few years ago, with her business partner Laura Shoemaker, she founded the protein bar company Glow Beauty Fuel. She appeared in 21 episodes of the series.

Laurette Spang (Cassiopeia)

Cassiopeia, played by Laurette Spang, was a medtech on board the Battlestar Galactica and, over the course of the series, pursued a romantic relationship with Starbuck. Cassiopeia used to work as a “socialator,” which was sci-fi speak for an escort. She carried no stigma, though, and was eventually treated with respect.

Laurette Spang became Laurette Spang-McCook in 1980. Spang-McCook began her acting career in 1972, having been spotted by a talent scout at Universal Studios. She, like many of her co-stars, worked hard on the contemporary TV circuit, and she appeared in several episodes of “Emergency!,” as well as “Happy Days,” “Charlie’s Angels,” “The Love Boat,” and the TV movie “Sarah T.: Portrait of a Teenage Alcoholic.” She appeared in one feature film (not counting the “Battlestar” features), the disaster flick “Airport 1975.”

Evidently, Cassiopeia’s profession as an escort made ABC’s executives a little antsy, and the showrunners had to change her profession to a medtech in response. Spang-McCook retired from acting in 1984.

Kim Kardashian Debuted A New SKIMS Face Wrap, And The Internet Is Having A Field Day: ‘It’s Like One Of Those Medical Devices To Prevent Mouth Breathing’

Kim Kardashian’s SKIMS company has taken over the world and her fans’ wallets. The company, which started off as a major shapewear retailer has expanded into pajamas, a cheeky swimwear line, and even partnerships with luxury brands like Dolce & Gabbana. It feels like the sky is the limit when it comes to Kardashian’s clothing company, and now she has taken things to a whole new level. The mogul has added a face wrap to her brand and fans are very confused.

The item is listed on the SKIMS website as “face innovation” and is meant to be worn to sculpt your face and offer jaw support. I can’t imagine it’s supposed to be worn out on the town, but rather around the house almost like a waist trainer for your face. However, the description does say it’s comfortable for everyday wear, so maybe we will start seeing these face wraps being worn at the grocery store.

some SKIMS products are totally worth it, fans aren’t sure about this one. As is typical for every strange Kardashian venture, like the boxers that look like hospital diapers, people are having an absolute field day with this one on Reddit. Some are commenting on how absolutely bizarre the wrap looks, but others actually are recognizing it from contraptions they wore after jaw surgery or to help with TMJ while they are sleeping. They said:

TikTok trends around the idea of “the morning shed,” I’m not surprised Kim Kardashian wanted to attach her name with a product that’s marketed to those with an intense beauty routine. Someone is going to have to give it a real try and let me know if it actually works.

When Kim Kardashian isn’t selling face wraps on the SKIMS website, you can see her on her reality show, The Kardashians, which currently is streaming with a Hulu subscription. You will also be able to see her star in the new Ryan Murphy series, All’s Fair, which is one of the most exciting titles on the 2025 TV premiere schedule, and is set to be released on Hulu this Fall.

Must See Trailer for NYC Romance ‘Love, Brooklyn’ with André Holland

“You have any evening plans?” Greenwich Entertainment has unveiled the official trailer for an indie film titled Love, Brooklyn, which first premiered at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival earlier this year to many warm reviews. It’s now set for release in theaters at the end of August with more screens during September. A writer in Brooklyn navigates complicated relationships with his ex, an art gallery owner, and his current lover, a newly-single mother,, with the support of his best friend. A modern romance set against the rapidly changing landscape of Brooklyn, New York. It’s one of my favorite films from Sundance (here’s my glowing review) touching upon many aspects of NYC life – from gentrification to relationships and everything else. Starring André Holland, with Nicole Beharie and DeWanda Wise as his two lovers, plus Roy Wood Jr., Cassandra Freeman, and Cadence Reese. Executive produced / mentored by Steven Soderbergh as director Rachael Holder’s feature debut. There’s so many aspects of this film that I love, especially how he rides his bicycle everywhere. It’s a light, uplifting, honest film about modern romance & making choices.

Here’s the official trailer (+ poster) for Rachael Holder’s film Love, Brooklyn, direct from YouTube:

Love, Brooklyn Poster

Three longtime Brooklynites navigate careers, love, loss, and friendship against the rapidly changing landscape of their beloved city. André Holland is perfect as freewheeling Roger, meeting his match in no-bullshit Nicole (DeWanda Wise), who’s unafraid to call his bluffs as she navigates dating with a young daughter in tow. Nicole Beharie charms as Casey, a woman endeavoring to understand the renegotiation of her relationship with Roger as the evolving arts scene impacts her gallery. Holder guides her actors to do some of their best work as they face the challenge of accepting change in a city transforming around them. Love, Brooklyn is directed by American indie filmmaker Rachael Holder, now making her feature directorial debut after episodes of series “I Love Bekka & Lucy”, “Dickinson”, “Amber Brown”, and “Run the World” previously. The screenplay is written by Paul Zimmerman. Produced by Maurice Anderson, Patrick Wengler, Kate Sharp, Liza Zusman, and André Holland. This initially premiered at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival earlier this year (read our review). Greenwich Ent. will debut Rachael Holder’s Love, Brooklyn film in select US theaters starting August 29th, 2025 – expanding into more theaters in September. Any good?
