“My mission is to get my men home, not fight dinosaurs.” Sparke Films & Rialto Distribution have debuted the full official trailer for a wild & crazy action thriller titled Primitive War, which is both a Vietnam War movie and a dinosaur movie all-in-one. “This ain’t no walk in the in August one month from now. This looks proper badass! They might’ve actually made a better Jurassic World movie. Fire it up.

Vietnam. 1968. A search and rescue team known as Vulture Squad is sent to an isolated jungle valley to uncover the fate of a missing Green Beret platoon. As they hunt the primordial depths of the valley, they discover ancient horrors that not only threaten to unravel their minds, but they will end their lives as well. Dinosaurs have somehow been unleashed…! When the casualties mount, the men of Vulture Squad must abandon their human nature and give in to their savage instincts in order to survive…the Primitive War. Primitive War is directed by B-movie genre filmmaker Luke Sparke, director of the movies Red Billabong, Occupation, Occupation: Rainfall, Devil Beneath, Bring Him to Me, and Scurry previously. The screenplay is also written by Luke Sparke, based on the sci-fi military novel by Ethan Pettus. It’s produced by Carmel Imrie, Carly Sparke, and Luke Sparke. This hasn’t premiered at any fests or elsewhere. Fathom & Rialto will debut Primitive War in US theaters starting August 21st, 2025 coming up this summer. Who’s in? Scary?
