Official Trailer for Lena Dunham’s ‘Too Much’ London RomCom Series

Official Trailer for Lena Dunham’s ‘Too Much’ London RomCom Series

"People are full of pent-up rage and dark secrets..." Indeed. Netflix has debuted the official trailer for a new Lena Dunham romantic comedy series called Too Much, ready for streaming this summer. She last made the two other films Sharp Stick and Catherine Called Birdy, but they were not successful, so she's back at it with a new TV series (for streaming). After a breakup, NYC workaholic Jessica moves to London planning on being alone. "The only solution is to take a job in London, where she plans to live a life of solitude like a Bronte sister." But she meets Felix who causes her to reconsider finding love again. Too Much is an ex-pat rom-com for the disillusioned who wonder if true love is still possible, but sincerely hope that it is. (It is!) The series doesn't star Dunham - it's a whole new fun cast. Featuring Megan Stalter and Will Sharpe as Jessica and Felix, with a huge ensemble: Michael Zegan, Janicza Bravo, Richard E. Grant, Leo Reich, Daisy Bevan, Adele Exarchopoulos, Dean-Charles Chapman, Rita Wilson, Naomi Watts, Prasanna Puwanarajah, Andrew Rannells, Rhea Perlman, Emily Ratajkowski, Stephen Fry, Kaori Momoi, Adwoa Aboah. This looks amusing and romantic, though […]

Joaquin Phoenix & Pedro Pascal in Ari Aster’s ‘Eddington’ Full Trailer

Joaquin Phoenix & Pedro Pascal in Ari Aster’s ‘Eddington’ Full Trailer

"You want things simple and neat. We were in a fight against evil." A24 has revealed the full official trailer for Ari Aster's latest movie titled Eddington, arriving in theaters this July. This recently premiered at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival to mixed reviews - some love it, some hate it, most were right in the middle on it. Written & directed by Aster, with Joaquin Phoenix, Pedro Pascal, Luke Grimes, Deirdre O'Connell, Micheal Ward, Amélie Hoeferle, Clifton Collins Jr., William Belleau, along with Austin Butler & Emma Stone. The only short synopsis so far: In May of 2020, a standoff between a small-town sheriff and mayor sparks a powder keg as neighbor is pitted against neighbor in the small town of Eddington, NM. This is sort of a pandemic movie but it's also more about how the pandemic broke the minds of many Americans, showing the downfall of many people in this one tiny town. Led by the Sheriff who goes crazy while in a feud with the local Mayor. I wish it was a better film, I didn't like it much, especially because it doesn't hit hard enough in any direction and rambles on way too long. But […]

Stoned Friends Freak Out Comedy ‘Nuked’ Trailer with Justin Bartha

Stoned Friends Freak Out Comedy ‘Nuked’ Trailer with Justin Bartha

"We're gonna be okay, right?" "I hope so... it would suck if we werent." Quiver Distribution has unveiled an official trailer for an absurd new comedy called Nuked, about a group of friends who get super stoned. The title isn't really a pun on being high, it's actually related to the story and what happens while they're high. This premiered at last year's Tribeca Film Festival and will be released this summer on VOD for everyone to also get stoned and watch. A group of friends gets together for a cannabis-infused, technology free, dinner party only to learn a bomb is headed right for them. This seems to be a riff on that Hawaii nuclear missile freak out from 2018, where they accidentally announced that a missile was on the way for 30 minutes before it was called off as a mistake. The pot kicks in right as they realize that they may only have 30 minutes to live... What will they do? The cast features Anna Camp, Justin Bartha, Lucy Punch, George Young, Tawny Newsome, Ignacio Serrichio, Maulik Pancholy, Stephen Guarino, Natasha Leggero, and Cole Stockel. This definitely looks like a fun pizza and beer movie night movie but […]

Florida Horror Thriller ‘Eye for an Eye’ Trailer Starring Whitney Peak

Florida Horror Thriller ‘Eye for an Eye’ Trailer Starring Whitney Peak

"Remembering you're dreaming..." Vertical has revealed the official trailer for Eye for an Eye, a horror thriller set in Florida marking the feature directorial debut of acclaimed music video director Colin Tilley. Not to be confused with any other film also titled Eye for an Eye, such as the 1996 thriller movie with Kiefer Sutherland & Sally Field. This is the story of Anna who grieves the death of her parents as she moves from New York to Florida to stay with her grandmother. She falls in with some other teens, but when she sees a grisly act of violence, she ends up even more traumatized. She finds herself ensnared by Mr. Sandman – the twisted soul of a tormented child who haunts bullies' dreams before feasting on their eyeballs. Uhhh whoa, WTF. Staring Whitney Peak, S. Epatha Merkerson, Golda Rosheuvel, and Finn Bennett. This looks like it has tons of creepy imagery, but the story looks quite generic. Doesn't seem like it'll amount to much. Here's the official trailer (+ poster) for Colin Tilley's thriller Eye for an Eye, direct from YouTube: Anna (Whitney Peak), grieving the sudden death of her parents, relocates to a small Florida town to […]

Dominique Thorne Stars in Marvel TV’s ‘Ironheart’ Series Trailer #2

"Out of all the things you could've built with that big brain of yours, why this?" "Because I have to." Marvel has revealed the second trailer for the Marvel TV mini-series called Ironheart, a spin-off from the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever movie. Set Chicago, this focuses on genius teenage inventor Riri Williams, who creates the most advanced suit of armor since Iron Man. Riri returns home where she gets entangled with the enigmatic Parker Robbins aka "The Hood", discovering secrets that pit technology against magic, setting her on a path of danger & adventure. The series is launching in June, a one-off creation produced by Ryan Coogler following his work on the Black Panther movies. I guess it took a few years for this series to come together while he was out filming Sinners. Ironheart stars Dominique Thorne as "Ironheart", Anthony Ramos, Lyric Ross, Alden Ehrenreich, Regan Aliyah, Manny Montana, Matthew Elam, and Anji White. So far so good. This new trailer focuses on her invention and how she's trying to create this armor and an AI assistant to help her stop bad guys in Chicago. But not too much more new footage beyond that... Here's the second official trailer […]

Eddie Murphy & Keke Palmer in ‘The Pickup’ Action Comedy Trailer

"Since you're gonna kill us, why don't you just show us who you are!" Amazon MGM has unveiled the first trailer for The Pickup, an action comedy from filmmaker Tim Story. It's set for a streaming debut directly starting in August later this summer. They're hyping this up as one of the big summer comedies for everyone to enjoy, but will it really catch on and become a hit when they're skipping theaters entirely? A routine cash pickup turns into a deadly pursuit when two mismatched armored truck drivers are ambushed by ruthless criminals with all of plans beyond the cash. The Pickup "brings together two generations of comedy for an explosive and hilarious partnership that showcases the chemistry between old-school experience and new-wave energy." Starring Eddie Murphy, Pete Davidson, and Keke Palmer, with Eva Longoria, Ismael Cruz Cordova, Jack Kesy, Andrew Dice Clay, ex-NFL player Marshawn Lynch, and Joe "Roman Reigns" Anoa'i. It delivers "heart-pounding thrills, sharp comedy, and unexpected mishaps — everyone's in for a hilarious and wild ride." According to the PR material. Alas this one doesn't look that fun or funny. Here's the first official trailer (+ poster) for Tim Story's movie The Pickup, direct from […]

Fun Trailer for ‘Beam Me Up, Sulu’ Doc About George Takei’s Fan Film

"Star Trek meant something to them." Highway Child has revealed an official trailer for a documentary film titled Beam Me Up, Sulu, a fascinating true story doc ready for release this year. It's premiering at the 2025 Raindance Film Festival coming up this month in London, hence why the trailer is out. Here is their intro: "In 1985, student Stan Woo, with limited budget and resources, embarked on a mission to create a fan film based on Star Trek. A long-time admirer of the character Lieutenant Sulu, played by George Takei, Stan took the audacious step of approaching the actor to appear in his film. To his surprise, Takei accepted. Spanning 36 years, this fascinating documentary tells the story of the resulting production – Yorktown: A Time to Heal." Finally the original fan film has been found all these years later and will be revealed! "With contributions from Yorktown's cast and crew, Eugene Roddenberry, Garrett Wang (Star Trek: Voyager), and of course the one & only George Takei himself, Beam Me Up Sulu is both a fascinating story of youthful creativity and a document of the immense changes positive representation can inspire." Yep this film sounds like it is going […]

Strange Crash Survival Sci-Fi Thriller ‘The Occupant’ Teaser Trailer

"I'm a survivor, just like you..." Decal Releasing has unveiled an official trailer for The Occupant, an indie survival thriller marking the feature directorial debut of filmmaker Hugo Keijzer. This recently premiered at the 2025 SXSW London Film Festival and will be out to watch in select theaters later this year - this is only a teaser trailer to start. An intriguing sort of sci-fi survival thriller set in the remote Georgian taiga, The Occupant starring Ella Balinska, Stuart Graham, Rob Delaney. When Abby, a guilt-ridden engineering geologist in transit from her remote assignment survives a mysterious helicopter crash, she must try to escape the harsh environment. But she is not alone. She is talking to someone on her walkie-talkine hoping to find a way out - but is he even real? "A twisty and inventive survival thriller" that will keep you hanging on until the very last frame. It's hard to really figure out everything going on in this - is it all in her head? Is she just imagining this in shock, out of fear? Only one way to find out - gotta watch it & wait for the reveals. Here's the teaser trailer (+ poster) for Hugo […]

Matthew McConaughey in Greengrass’ ‘The Lost Bus’ Teaser Trailer

"Is there anybody who can go & pick these kids up?" Apple TV has revealed an the first brief teaser trailer for a film titled The Lost Bus, the latest feature from acclaimed director Paul Greengrass since he made News of the World in 2020. Apple TV+ will be releasing this movie; we've yet to see if they'll be sending it to theaters (perhaps it'll play at a film festival or two this fall?) or just dropping it streaming directly later in the fall. Inspired by real events, The Lost Bus is a white-knuckle ride into one of the deadliest wildfires as a wayward school bus driver (Matthew McConaughey) and school teacher (America Ferrera) battle to save 22 children from the terrifying inferno. The film explores more of what went wrong in California's Camp Fire, America's deadliest wildfire in a century (85 were killed), and how to prevent future tragedies, also including the story of a bus driver and school teacher who helped kids through the blaze. In addition to McConaughey and Ferrera, the cast includes Yul Vazquez, Ashlie Atkinson, and Spencer Watson. Yet another new wildfire movie following Kosinski's Only the Brave (in 2017) and the doc Rebuilding Paradise […]

Olga Kurylenko’s Every Move is Tracked in Horror ‘O.T.H.E.R’ Trailer

Olga Kurylenko’s Every Move is Tracked in Horror ‘O.T.H.E.R’ Trailer

"I'm a monster." Voltage Pictures has unveiled an official trailer for a horror movie called O.T.H.E.R, a French production made by the French filmmaker David Moreau. He most recently made the awesome one-long-take horror film MadS, which I highly recommend watching (it's on Shuddder). O.T.H.E.R is filmed in English, starring actress Olga Kurylenko as a woman who returns home to discover a strange secret there. Alice reluctantly returns to her childhood home after her mother's death. During her visit, Alice gradually gets to know the peculiar features of her surroundings and, eventually, learns the disturbing truth: she is being watched by a camera surveillance system, and a cloaked figure lurks around and drives her towards a horrifying revelation. What is going on in this creepy home?! Starring Olga Kurylenko, Philip Schurer, and Jean Schatz. This film has plenty of style and looks disquieting, but it's hard to really make sense of what is happening in this. All these weird VHS tapes? Weird dude following her? Any idea what is going on? Here's the official trailer (+ poster) for David Moreau's horror film O.T.H.E.R, direct from YouTube: This unsettling horror thriller movie follows Alice (starring Olga Kurylenko), who reluctantly returns to […]

Full Trailer for Curtis & Lohan’s ‘Freakier Friday’ Fun Legacy Sequel

"I didn't want to be a part of this family, and now I'm part of some dodgy family curse?!" Well, yep... Disney has unveiled the main official trailer for Freakier Friday, another long-awaited legacy sequel out in theaters soon. This is a follow-up to the hit comedy classic Freaky Friday from 2003, now 22 years later they're picking up where things left off with mother and daughter. This summer is about to get Freakier. Ready to crash into theaters this August! Years after Tess & Anna's identity crisis, Anna now has a daughter and soon-to-be stepdaughter. As they navigate the challenges that come when two families merge, Tess and Anna discover that lightning might strike twice. Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan return as Tess and Anna once again, along with Mark Harmon, Chad Michael Murray, Ryan Malgarini, Christina Vidal Mitchell, Haley Hudson, Stephen Tobolowsky, Lucille Soong, Rosalind Chao back in their respective roles from the original. With Julia Butters, Manny Jacinto, Vanessa Bayer, and Sophia Hammons joining in this cast. The big twist in this new one is it's now a four-way body swap between the other grandkids, too? This looks ridiculous, and not in a good way - […]

Official Trailer for Wacky Comedy ‘Ebony & Ivory’ from Jim Hosking

"Musical legends help each other to make music!" Yes they do. Drafthouse Films has revealed an official trailer for Ebony & Ivory, a wacky fun spoof comedy from British filmmaker Jim Hosking. This initially premiered at Fantastic Fest 2024 last year, and it played at the 2024 Night Visions Film Festival in Finland, and the 2025 Glasgow Film Festival earlier this year. It's a new surreal comedy from The Greasy Strangler director Jim Hosking. Two musical legends gather at a Scottish Cottage on The Mull Of Kintyre for a tense summit to discuss a potential collaboration that will ultimately result in a Global Number One smash hit single. Starring Sky Elobar and Gil Gex. It seems like he's riffing on Milli Vanilli or any of these wonky music duos involving famous artists. Reviews are all over, but this is a fun one: "Don't go into this expecting anything more than a film made by the guy who made The Greasy Strangler featuring Stevie Wonder and Paul McCartney talking about veggie sausages and smoking doobie woobies." Well, that sounds funny. "You just sit with it. It’s strange, a bit stupid, sometimes funny, sometimes very funny." This looks bonkers weird. Here's the […]

Watch: New Music Video for ‘Psycho Killer’ – Featuring Saoirse Ronan

"I can't sleep 'cause my bed's on fire. Don't touch me, I'm a real live wire..." Here we go again! The 70s rock band Talking Heads has just put out a brand new music video. They're back on a hot streak! Especially after A24 re-released their classic concert doc Stop Making Sense a few years ago (which I'm so glad I saw on the big screen). Their iconic, beloved, world famous song "Psycho Killer" gets a clever new music video starring the one-and-only Irish actress Saoirse Ronan. She's one of my favorite actresses (and should've been nominated for The Outrun last year) and it's great to see her playing this role in this fun video where she gets to let loose. It's directed by Mike Mills, one of my favorite directors now, known for Beginners, 20th Century Women, and C'mon C'mon. The song is now 48 years old, first released on their debut album "Talking Heads: 77" in 1977. The music video doesn't actually feature any psycho killers in it, just Saoirse going about her daily life & work, slowly going crazy & getting extra wild. Love it. Makes me want to dance. Thanks to Twitter for the tip on […]

New US Trailer for ‘Kill the Jockey’ Featuring Nahuel Pérez Biscayart

"He was a good boy..." Music Box has revealed an official US trailer for Kill the Jockey, the Argentinian film starring Nahuel Pérez Biscayart as a rogue horse racing jockey who goes on the run. Thi premiered at the 2024 Venice Film Festival last year, and also played at the Toronto, San Sebastian, Viennale, Tokyo, and Stockholm Festivals. It's a gem! One of my favorites from last year – an especially clever, perfectly shot fable with an unforgettable lead performance. Spanish-Argentina actor Nahuel Pérez Biscayart stars as Remo, the on-the-run jockey at the center of this cinematic tale of a man in the midst of transition. Remo's self-destructive behavior and alcoholism overshadows his talent. Abril, an upcoming jockey is pregnant by Remo and has to decide between child or continuing to race. They both race for Sirena, a businessman who saved Remo's life in the past. Also starring Úrsula Corberó, Daniel Giménez Cacho, Daniel Fanego, Osmar Núñez, and Roberto Carnaghi. This already opened in many places last year, and is finally ready for US release in summer. Catch it on the big screen for the full cinematic experience. I'm lucky a snippet of my Venice review last year is quoted […]

He agrees to let this mysterious stranger into his basement, unaware he may be letting in a force much darker than he imagined. Uh oh.
